Hailed by critics as "a musical experience unlike any other," Toxic Audio is a group of men and women who together create a unique, interactive show combining dazzling harmonies, vocal sound effects and their own brand of improv comedy. The most amazing of all, they do it without musical instruments of any kind?just their voices.
Local producer David Saxe brought Toxic Audio to the V Theater in Las Vegas after a successful run Off Broadway in New York City. This amazing group has appeared on television and in arenas across the country as the opening act for Tony Bennett, Kenny G., and Wayne Brady, just to name a few.
?There?s no way to describe this show,? said Mr. Saxe. ?You have to see it to believe it. I am amazed every time I hear the power of these human voices together in harmony. It?s like having an invisible orchestra on stage.?
Five electrifying entertainers perform an eclectic mix of almost every musical genre ranging from pop to jazz, hip-hop to country to comedic parodies. Their audience appeal is universal with a fan base and audience members ranging in ages from 7 to 77. You?ll think Toxic Audio is backed by a full band, but it?s really only five human voices.
Critics from Orlando, Florida to New York City predict Toxic Audio will the most popular stage show to hit Las Vegas in decades!
The Village Voice says, ?They mount musical miracles.?
The New York Times says Toxic Audio is, ?Crowd pleasing?sure fire fun!?
This group even won the prestigious Drama Desk Award for ?MOST UNIQUE THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE in America? for their Off Broadway smash hit run at the John Houseman Theatre on 42nd Street and placed number ONE in the Wall Street Journal/Zagat Theater Survey surpassing The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. Accolades include being named "The Best Pop Group In America? by Ed McMahon's Next Big Star and crowned the year 2000 Harmony Sweepstakes ?National Champions.? Their theatre work in Florida earned them the Lillie Stoates Award for ?Best Musical? and their album Chemistry won the CARA award for ?A Capella Album of the Year.? As they continue ?exploring the boundaries of the human voice? these uniquely talented high-energy performers are always amazing, highly creative, classy yet unexpected, and thoroughly entertaining for audiences of all ages.
