This country-pop superstar has released numerous hit recordings and TV shows
since his humble beginnings with "The New Christy Minstrels" and later, "The
First Edition". Having gone solo in 1976, Rogers charted with "Love Lifted
Me", but it was with "Lucille", written by Roger Bowling and Hal Bynum,
that shot this star upward. The rest is history: award-winning duets, popular
TV specials, chart-topping singles. Every song Kenny released between 1976
and 1984 topped the charts and every album went Gold or Platinum.
