The fiery redhead hit the country music scene with her debut single, "Heads
Carolina, Tails California" peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles
chart in 1996. Messina has garnered many awards, released numerous albums and
toured with some of country music's top superstars. In 1997 Jo Dee Messina
became the first woman in country music history to have three consecutive
multi-week, #1 songs, "Bye Bye", "I'm Alright" and "Stand Beside Me", all from
the album "I'm Alright" that soared to the top of the charts. Messina's fourth
album, "Delicious Surprise", released in 2005, produced the hit song, "My Give
A Damn is Busted", which also reached No. 1 on the music charts.
