Been around seeing we travel 3 times a year by cruise or to resorts for the last 10 years..We must say this resort is very clean,resturants,grounds,room,beach, poo,l and beach bathrms well attended.The food is was very good well presented and hot..The hotel night life was average for a resort but good..The staff was very friendly and willing to help.We would not hesitate to return or recommend this resort to family or close friends..A must go to in Montego Bay.....ENJOY>>>>

All inclusive resort. The grounds were extremely clean and well manicure. The staff was great. The food was much better than expected. Wild Orchid and St James resorts are next to each other which allows you the use of both properties.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay for our honeymoon. There was a lot to do around the resort and helpful staff to plan excursions should you want to see more of the beautiful island. The staff at the resort was happy to help and made you feel welcome right from arrival. We wound definitely stay here again.

Spent a week on our honeymoon and enjoyed the entire time. All the rooms were very nice and the views of the ocean were just as impressive. Every person there is incredibly helpful and pleasant. The food Id give a 4/5...some places were lacking in taste but others made up for it. Room service is 24/7, so that is a perk. The buffet is open for breakfast and lunch, but those fancier restaurants are only dinner. For lunch, go to the jerk chicken truck near the pooside...awesome is about the only way to describe it. For dinner, the first night you get there, make a reservation for hibachi, and then make a second. There are hundreds of people at the resort, but only three hibachi tables that sit 12 people a piece and are only open for four hours a day. It is popular. We did the romantic dinner by the water, and while the food was good, I was brought out the wrong dinner, which at that point it is futile to wait for the right one to come out why the Mrs. has her dinner ready to go. There are plenty of excursions to take, or you can relax at the pools or on the beach. The beach is a little rocky, so be careful where you step. Finally, yes they say all tips included, but bring some money for tips for great service. You may even find your service improving vastly. When my alarm clock was unable to keep time, I left a couple of dollars and a note. Came back to the room, and there was a brand new and higher end alarm clock plugged in and keeping time. Dont spend all this money on a trip and then be cheap once you get there. Again, great views, excellent service, and definitely worth the money. Anyone who feels they expected more for their dollar probably were expecting the Ritz on a Econolodge budget.

This was one of the best trips ever and I would have given this resort an excellent on the Value for the money but did not and here is why. We did the romantic Dinner and it was a flop. They seated us at a table that was on the beach instead of one of the gazebos. It had just rained and everything was still moist or wet including the tablecloth and napkins. Because it was still misting throughout the dinner, wait for the courses to come was tedious. Other than that, make sure your stay includes a Friday night so you can partake in the seafood buffet which includes Lobster. We did not get to enjoy the buffet as we left on Friday. Next time will include Friday night! The staff is very friendly but even more friendly if you tip. If you don't like to tip for good service, stay at Sandals where tipping is greatly discouraged by the staff but you get what you pay for. Most of the original Sandals staff have left and taken up residency at the other resorts, such as Secrets. The life guards are friendly and ready to assist you at the beach. My favorite of course is Carl Blackwood, and then there is Darren, his side kick who taught me how to catch Jellyfish. We came right after a storm that had washed a few in but the waters were safe to swim and snorkel. DBL D is the best bellman so if he meets and greets you, you'll know. One last item to note is the entertainment. It was great as long as it was in the clubs but there were some weddings and the receptions were sometimes overboard with little respect for the other guests. They had a circus one night and a sing-a-long on another night. Side note: Secrets St. James is exactly like Wild Orchid just a little further away from the restaurants. They have there own preferred and regular beaches separate from Wild Orchids but might be cheaper if you are on a budget. Have a great Vacation!
