If this is your first visit to Singapore , this is the hotel you must stay. A little expensive but worth the money. Breakfast buffet is $39 Singapore dollars ( + 10% service ) and you have no many options around but food is good. Probably best hotel in Singapore and next to new " park ( behind hotel ) which you can spend 1 full day in that nice park. Pool is amazing. Free internet is a plus it works in most places around hotel and shopping mall. Be aware electricity is 220 V which is different from US ( you may need an electricity converter - Not just adapter ). Subway station very convenient ( behind check in counter )

The signature restaurants at the hotel are very pricey but worth the experience. Make your reservations at these restaurants before arriving at the hotel as these were quite difficult to obtain.The 57th floor infinity pool is spectacular and we did not want to leave the deck.

The Sands at Marina Bay is still not quite completed yet. However, the hotel, casino, and the shopping arcade are up and running. The shopping arcade still has about 20% vacancies and with a few other stores anticipating to open in the upcoming months. An interesting note is that one restaurant in particular, was only open for dinner during weekdays. For a facility that caters to mostly tourists, I thought that was quite inconvenient. But do make sure you call ahead before taking the walk and ending up with disappointment of being greeted by closed doors. The room is spacious and offers great view of the skyline. Our room has a bay view, but unfortunately, it was of a more industrial view of the loading docks and freighters docked within the bay. It was definitely not a view you'd expect from a 5 STAR facility. The Sands rooftop skypark is also open to tourists. It was a bit annoying to take a leisure swim in its spectacular pool with a view while tons of tourists are snapping away on their cameras. Needless to say it did not have the privacy which I think most of us would appreciate when paying for a 5 STAR hotel. Please also note that there is no changing room, so you'd have to change into your bathing suit in your guest room before heading up to skypark. The fitness facility is also spacious offering adequate equipments for anyone looking for a workout while on vacation. The hotel itself is conveniently located, so it is a skip and a hop away to most of the trendy areas in town. Overall, it is not a bad experience but having no children of my own, I'd think for couples that are looking for more privacy and comfort, it might be better to try somewhere else.

A great hotel building with a wonderful pool and night club, but the good things stop right there. Service wise this is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. consider this, that after paying $* per night, i had to wait to talk to concierge endlessly (sometimes over 5 minutes). Room service was a joke. it took 45-50 minutes to get ANYTHING. check in and check out were an experience oppertunity to enjoy the lobby as it would take over an hour. There was a long que to get a table for breakfast. Most of all, they would not settle the bill when i checked out before time. they said that the credit card will be charged automatically. it sure did charge sutomatically, twice the amount i was supposed to pay. now it is a battle to get the money back from them. Overall, the most unprofesional and disgusting service i have ever encountered.
