The Elara is a very comfortable hotel. One problem that we encountered was that our cab driver did not have it on his list of hotels. Since I knew where it was located this was not a big problem. Check in was fast but there were no bellboys to help with our luggage. This is important to people, like me, who are handicapped. The concierge seemed to always be busy; but, fortunately the sales group was happy to help with questions and they were centrally located, a bonus. We made our way to the elevators, past the ever alert security, and got to the door of our room. The door required about 50 lbs of force to open. This is probably due to the wind pressure; but, there are mechanisms to reduce this, another plus for disabled guests, too bad this door had no such assistance. All the pillows were feather. My wife is allergic to feathers. Housekeeping was quick to bring replacements; though, I'm concerned that the preferences that I entered into my profile have been changed I'll check on that and reenter a note that rooms should have non-feather pillows. Oops, I forgot that, though they had a handicapped accessible shower, there was not a stool to use while bathing. The Jacuzzi was pretty much a challenge to exit as there are no steps, inside or out. The instructions suggested that I sit on the edge and swing my legs into the tub. The handgrips were secure and I was able to lower myself down. As gravity only works one way, exiting was difficult, resulting in some questionable language. The icemaker on the refrigerator would not crack the ice or dispense. It made ice, just fine, you just had to open the panel and pick the ice out. On the positive side the view, albeit the window had a large mid pane streak, was impressive. There did seem to be a problem with the hotel providing instructions for use of the projection TV. Luckily we have similar models at work and I figured it out quickly.

This hotel used to be the Planet Hollywood Westgate, but apparently HIlton bought it not too long ago. The room was amazing, the building is smoke free (a plus for me), and there is no casino. This is my type of Vegas spot. The room was so spacious. We stayed in a standard King Suite. There were TVs everywhere, and the jacuzzi bathtub was a nice touch. We checked in, got to our room, and the front desk called us to ensure everything was too our liking. We also asked for an additional blanket, the blanket was delivered in 10 minutes, and the front desk called 15 minutes later to ensure that we were taken care of. Great service. We had so much space, it was a shame that we only had 3 in our party. I wish we could have stayed for more than one night. We will definitely be back!

This is a great location to stay...reasonable rates, clean rooms, security. This was also one of the only places that did not have a funny smell to it. The beds were comfortable..my husband and I actually took note of the brand to buy one just like it when we got home from our trip. Our concierge was very helpful with helping us plan out our stay. Parking was easy with a parking garage located adjacent to this hotel. Our only complaint, which is minor, is that we were traveling with another couple and had requested adjacent rooms...they had put us on separate floors to start with, but were able to get us on the same floor but at opposite ends. With a hotel of this size and with a trip booked well in advance, I'm not sure why this should have been an issue in the first place. Even so, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just back from a 3 night stay at the Elara in Las Vegas. Perfect location right in the center of the strip, walkable to both North and South strip casinos and locations. We had a Jr Suite, corner room so fantastic views of 2 sides. We had a little problem with the jacquzzi, but they sent someone right up and he couldn't have been nicer about fixing it all up for us. Attached to the Planet Hollywood "Miracle Mile" shops, so very convenient. Also across the street from the Bellagio. Would definitely stay again, room very clean and had everything we needed.
