Great room for a good price. The view of the Eifel Tower was spectacular. The staff is kind and helpful. Free internet bar downstairs was great. Walking distance to so many great sites, along with just a few blocks from the Metro. Would stay here again and again on a trip to Paris.

Overall our room was comfortable. We did have to wait a long time before we could check in. This was due to our room not being ready. My wife and I are American and it could have been a coincidence but it seemed that while we were waiting for our room a few French couples arrived and they were able to check in and go right to their rooms. The buffet was terrible and very expensive. I suggest avoiding that in house eatery. Room service was good except when ordering you must make it very clear to the person taking your order what you desire. If you are a couple ordering coffee make sure you tell them two cups (for they will only bring one cup) and a large carafe. If you take cream you have to tell them with milk they have no cream. They bring it warm. I suggest bringing instant coffee from home for I could not get a decent cup of coffee in Paris even in the establishments that catered to Americans. That is the solemn truth! The best part of the hotel was that it is very, very close to the Eiffel Tower. I would stay there again but like I said, I would bring instant coffee if you are a coffee drinker.

The hotel staff was friendly, the room comfortable, and the facilities well maintained, cheerful and bright. We loved the breakfast buffet despite its being a little pricey. Our room phone did not work and it took four days and a reminder to get it corrected, but in fairness we weren't using it either. The location was wonderful and we felt safer in Paris than others have felt on their first trip! The staff was extremely gracious regarding helping two Americans feel that their cultural faux pas' were not a disaster!

The hotel itself was very good and the staff was very capable, but the management was very inefficient. The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only real problem we encountered was a daily issue with the front desk. For some unexplained reason, the electronic room card key was constantly disabled and we would have to stand on line daily to get new keys. No matter the time of day or the length of the line, there were only two people behind that counter. We would routinely spend 30 minutes per day on line just waiting for a desk person to hear our daily complaint about the key. It seems that the simple notion of increasing the desk staff during peak hours was a novel idea in hotel managment at this hotel. However waiting on line was a good way to meet other Americans in the hotel because there were many with the same problem and we all seemed to be housed on the 8th floor. The hotel and the staff: yes. Management: no.
