If you are given the option of a larger room and on a higher floor, go for it. That will provide better view of Vegas. Comfy bed, valet only, ask for cooking utensils if you need them, otherwise they're not provided. Ice is on every floor, look for sign on each floor to get to the ice machine, the blackout blind doesn't completely cover the window, so there will be light cracking in the morning. The pullout sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable. All you feel is the spring coil, so I didn't even bother sleeping on it. I slept on the sofa instead.

We spent the last week of December at the Vdara in a 1-bedroom suite to celebrate my daughter's sweet sixteen. We called the hotel to make sure that we wouldn't have problems with the sleeping arrangements (Daughter is 6'2" and husband sleeps with a CPAP machine). They assured us that the couch was queen sized and very comfortable and daughter would have no problems sleeping on it) Upon arrival we found out that there are no outlets by the bed to plug in the CPAP machine . Or to charge our phones/iPads. Not a life changing problem but inconvenient! The pull-out couch was ridiculous and absolutely impossible to sleep on. It was a flimsy metal frame with a 4 inch "mattress". The mattress was springs covered with a dirty fabric and there was NO padding whatsoever! Called the front desk to explain the condition of the couch and that my daughter would not be able to sleep on it. I was informed that that was the sleeping arrangement the Vdara provides. Huh? Excuse me? After some more complaining I was told that housekeeping would bring extra padding. That never happened and my daughter spend Christmas Eve sleeping on the floor. The next day they send up a thick mattress cover that didn't help much and the couch was so uncomfortable that my daughter got very little sleep and woke up with bad backaches every day. We were there for SEVEN nights. Not how I wanted her to spend her birthday! I can't even believe a hotel would offer that as a pull out couch for a guest! - Room was dusty and had fingerprints all over appliances and doors - when trying to open the blinds the button went all the way into the wall (was repaired within the hour) - water didn't drain in powder room sink( was fixed when we came back) -asked for an extra blanket but was told that was not possible -housekeeping moved all of our toiletries EVERY SINGLE DAY. And re-arranged it in different spots every day. When I find a hairbrush laying on top of my toothbrush I'm not that amused - the whole hotel has the charm of an airport lounge. Not "chic and sophisticated" like advertised but just blah..... Including the "cafe" that reminds me of a hospital cafeteria. Food was pretty bad and very expensive. Overall we were disappointed in the hotel and will not return.

My only criticism is that the $25 per day "resort fee" doesn't add any value.Int

Room service was prompt or early. Staff was very helpful and well informed. Valet parking was a bit of a nightmare and you could easily lose half an hour waiting for your car. Overall, Vdara is good value and was well run.

Nice Hotel offering complimentary valet parking service. Although the entrance to the hotel takes a bit getting used to with all the looping around and poor signage. Nice room with view to the Bellagio fountain we got. I like the fresh scent through out the whole complex with non-smoking. As their hotel slogan says, "do Vegas differently".
