LOVED the River Hotel. Charming, clean, great location, well-priced. And each member of the staff was just fabulous. They cared. It showed. Even the parking valets were wonderful. I WILL stay here again!! In fact, can't wait!

The River hotel was better than I anticipated. The room itself was very clean, quiet and comfortable and nicely appointed. The hotel is in a great location on Wacker Drive, very central in the city. It was close to Michigan Avenue, Navy Pier and the parks. Nice view of the river. The restaurant downstairs had delicious pizza (thin crust) and the best tiramisu I have ever eaten. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.

The River Hotel is in a historic building on the south side of the Chicago River, directly across from the Trump International Hotel and a few steps from the Michigan Ave. bridge. It is a great location for walking, and about two blocks from the State/Lake train station. Our room was on the small side, but very modern and clean. We were on the 8th floor and didn't hear any street noise. The staff/concierges were all friendly and helpful, although we had asked for a reservation at a restaurant (Terzo Piano) that was never made. We would definitely stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel based on the reviews and was NOT disappointed. There are so many cool things about this hotel. They have a purified water dispenser in the elevator lobby of each floor with bottles, there are ironing boards are in a community closet, and the furnishings are very efficient. Yes, the room was small, but it was perfect for a solo traveler. The staff was very helpful and seriously, the location cannot be beat. I would gladly stay here again. It would be nice if they upgraded the beds but they were not bad.
