I visitied this resort in May of 2011 with my 3 year old grandson. I had booked the Hardrock for our visit but he saw this resort on a commercial and told his mother that Gram was going to take him there. Needless to say I changed my reservations. We loved it here. When we were checking in they attempted to put us on the side of the resort without the water park and told us that the pool there was closed. Being alone with a three year old that wasn't going to work for me. I explained that I had requested to be put on the first floor with the waterpark. She told me that it was an additional fee because this was an upgrade. I explained that I had requested that room to begin with and it was never disclosed that there would be an additional fee. I explained that I wasn't going to pay the fee and expected to be moved. Hmmm..she moved me with no fee. My grandson loved the room and the vacation was about him. I only cared that the room was clean, which it was and that the bed comfortable. I was 2 for 2 there and satisfied. I have seen complaints about the noise, we were right behind the water slides, that did not keep up us from hitting the sheets by 9 and falling asleep. After a day at the parks and ending it at the water park; room service was our choice for dinner. It was great. We really never had to leave the resort. They had a little store there were we could buy cereal and staples. I will admitt that it was more than I would pay in the grocery store, but if I bought it at the corner store I would have paid the same. We went to the characer breakfast and he loved it. I loved it too. It was a buffet and had plenty of variety. But the best thing was our waitress. I have had three kids of my own and now a grandchild and had never received this service. My waitress offered to sit with my grandchild while I got my food, and if that wasn't going to help she would get my food for me. The meal was $ 20.00 for the two of us and I was so impressed that I left her a $ 10.00 tip. We opted not to rent a car and used the shuttle bus. We had no issues with the bus. The drivers helped me with my carriage and everything. Drew has already asked me to take him back and that will definately happen. Vacation is what you make it. If you have a bad time at this resort it is your own fault. If you don't have children perhaps this resort isn't for you...

First off let me start with the good things on the hotel as i can list them pretty fast. #1 .There is a little to occupy your time while in between parks and I mean a LITTLE.. You have 4d movies to watch.. This will cost you anywhere between $7 and $13 per person depending on which route you want to go. The movies in and of themselves are ok .. but i'll get to that later.. #2. The noise does die down around 11pm so you will be able to rest at some point during the day. #3 . Overall the hotel is clean enough although not as clean as it could be. #4 On site restaraunts ( Subway, Uno, The Grill) are descent enough although i would stick with Subway for the best NORMAL prices. #5 Upon our early arrival (check in time isn't til 4pm ) at 11:30am we had to wait only 2 hours for a room to be avaiable. But be prepared for a lenghthy check in wait and mostly so loud in the lobby you couldn't hear what you were agreeing to. Ok onto the not so good stuff. #`1. You will be required to pay and extra $25/day that you may not know about til you arrive .. this includes certein ammenties the hotel offers.. Even if you don't use them WHICH DURING OUR STAY WE DID NOT.. you are required to pay this fee. #2. The rooms are not as grand as they make them out to be.. They are very bare with paintings of characters on the wall and we had the Spongebob room which is really suppose to be the most popular room .By the way we booked online and got this room unbeknowest to us but i've heard that its extra for this room. don't pay extra for it.. Once again its just a painting on the wall nothing else. #3. Don't look for the bedspreads there are none there. Also we didn't have washclothes the first couple nights there. #4. The sofa was very stained and almost to dirty looking to sit on. The room was just very run down an cracked and peeling paint in places. #5. You will be walking alot at this hotel to get from point A to point B . If you are in building one you have a long walk to the mall/theater.Also if you don't like heights request a room on a lower floor! The elevators are really slow so we took the stairs alot! #6. You have to wear a paper braclet the entire time you are there. If you loose the braclet you will be charged $25 .. Honestly the braclet was never once looked at while we were there everything we did required our I.D. so i don't see the purpose in this stupid braclet and we hated wearing it for 3 days! #7 Upon returning to the hotel one night in the pouring rain at 8 pm our gate to enter into our building was blocked off by cones.. There was no sign or anything directing us to another gate. When we found another gate to enter into our key card would not work when we contacted security they informed us that our gate was blocked off and finally they told us we'd have to go to the other side of the hotel to enter into our buidling area.. FINE but why not put up a sign or something to let us know. #8 Had to wait 20 minutes on a hot dog at the uno restaruant and another woman beside me had been waiting 35 minutes on her food due to one of the woman employees fussing with another emoployee and not doing her job. Right there in front of everyone. I found most workers at the Grill and Uno very rude. #9 You will be pressured into having a breakfast to try to sell you a vacation package if you go to the customer service desk inside the mall beware of that. It is a 90minute breakfast you will be requried to attend if you buy discounted park tickets from them. #10 Phones in the room do not work properly and the tv had horrible clairty. #11 The so called 4D movies are not that great. We have been to better 4D movies in our local arcades in our hometown. Also serveral of the seats in the 4D theater do not work properly. Kinda of a draw back if you have a braclet Yes another braclet to watch all the 4D movies yet at the end of each 15 minute movie you have to get up and got get back in line again! Total of 7 movies while we were there. Also the 3d glasses were very dirty and hard to see out of. #12 We had a joining room which we didn't request and didn't care for. Even though the door between the rooms was locked we would've appreciated not having it at all. Overall we would never stay here again. Even our child was not impressed and mentioned staying at another hotel if we ever go back to Florida. This was not our first visit to florida but after this experience it very well may have been our last..

Went to celebrate my daughters birthday. Check in was slow and staff did not share information on activities. Room was not as shown on internet adds. Bathroom cabinets cracked. Water pressure bad and toilet ran. We could not get into the free shows because they were full. Staff did not explain the shows and activities so there was no seats if u did not reserve early. We checked in at 2p. By 4p there were no seats. There was not enough parking. We had to park at the entrance ...our room was the opposite side of the resort. There is more to complain about.
