Hotel staff was courteous and friendly but the hotel is going down hill fast. Stairwells smelled of urine with cigarette butts an the stairs. Pool deck is coming up and grates are rusting and will break soon. The suites are not actually two bedrooms because the area with the bunk beds has no door. The suite is supposed to sleep six people yet the table in the suite sits only two. The kitchenette does not come with any silverware, plates or glassware so why bother. Wand floors are definitely not sound absorbent and you can hear everything. Ok to go to once for the kids but would not go back a second time.

This place was disgusting. It's not a suite, it's a motel style old building with smelly rooms and the most disgusting lobby that I have ever seen. I left after 15 minutes from my arrival because I got a headache from the smell in the room. The staff is horrible, no help, they just chage you for everything. Nastiest place ever, do not make the mistake of taking your kids to this dump, your kids will get sick from the filth that sorrounds this place.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! This place is awful and not worth a penny of what you pay. They will charge you a resort fee upon check in totaling $31.50 per night that includes pool use, parking, buses and internet. Yes, that is correct….you have to pay to use the pool and park. The pool is nice and your kids will love it however, we found that they have the option to close the pool at their discretion. Lightning and accidents in the pool we can understand but closing because you are understaffed really isn’t my problem. Didn’t I pay a resort fee to have access to a pool that is open from 11-7? Then why was the Oasis pool closed on multiple days at 5 pm due to understaffing. Also, the hotel has the option to do a lockout on all pools. If one pool becomes too crowded they move everyone to the other pool…..isn’t that unsafe? Any sensible person would have to agree more people more chances of accidents. And why again did I pay a resort fee that includes use of a pool, a pool that is closed half of the time? Oh and make sure you return your pool towels, if not you will be charged $5.00 per towel. They don’t tell you this, we happened to get towels from the Lagoon pool and tried to return them to the Oasis pool and were told we would be charged if we didn’t return them where we got them. Now, about the internet. If you are looking for WiFi, think again. All you get in your room is a blue Ethernet wire. If you want WiFi we were instructed by an assistant manager to go to the mall and sit as close as we could to the window…..really???? And still no WiFi. The buses are a joke. They have 3 buses that run in the morning to Universal and 3 returning all of which need a reservation. So don’t think you are going to just get up and hop on a bus….no reservation no ride. The hotel room is something out of a 1980’s movie and if you are looking for some décor resembling Nickelodeon, you are sadly mistaken. If you want a children’s room that has a Nickelodeon character on the wall then get ready to pay a lot more for your room. This room is like any other cheap motel….if it wasn’t for the pool outside of my door I wouldn’t even know I was at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort. The beds are as hard as a rock and so was the couch. There was no comforter on the master bedroom bed, guess that was an extra charge as well. The carpet was filthy and we had to wear shoes in our room. The TV had poor reception at best. The water pressure in the bathrooms was awful and we had a major leak in our bathroom on our last day that lingered into the children’s room closet. It soaked through my daughter’s backpack and damaged everything that was in the bag. When we called the front desk about it we were told there was nothing they could do for us as we were checking out that day. WOW!!!!!!What bothered me the most about this whole water issue is that at no point did anyone ever apologize or acknowledge that it was the fault of the hotel. In fact they tried to blame a resort guest by saying that someone in one of the other rooms must have overflowed the bath tub. Really???? The water pressure is so bad it would have taken 3 days to overflow a tub. As a parent, you try to do everything possible to make your children’s vacation a dream come true. We generally stay at a Disney resort but since my 9 year old wanted to be slimed we choose the Nickelodeon hotel. I didn’t expect their standards to be as high as the Disney Resorts, I am not sure any hotel lives up to Disney, but what I did expect was an experience much different then what we received. After speaking to several employees of Nickelodeon Suites it’s easy to see why their standards are so low. Although they were very friendly and helpful, it is clear that they do not back the management. It is very sad when a maintenance worker informs us that the hotel management controls the area of WiFi to get people into the mall. We as parents know, if a child sees a store they want to buy something. Or when an assistant manager laughs when we tell her our room looks like 1980 and then explains through a giggle that we need to get closer to a window for WiFi. This place is not worth it…save up and stay in Disney. Listen to the reviews…I know you can’t always believe what you read but in this case it’s all true.

We wanted to do "something else than Disney" this time in Orlando but the end result is that we will return to Disney experience. Nickelodeon Resort was nice and worked for us especially since we were not going to spend our days in the hotel. However the hurricane season changed that plan a bit. Rooms were quite musty and there were days we had not had cleaning until around 6pm. Not really a problem but it was a bit disappointment. When ever we called house keeping (needed more towels or something) it would take hours to get them. Staff did not speak English and not even Spanish so it was hard to communicate with them. In comparison to Disney again as I feel that Disney has set the standard for us in Orlando - we did not like the fact that we had to make reservations in ten different places for things in this resort. Front desk would do nothing but check in and check out. For certain things you needed customer service, for other something else. However the pool was nice and we spent lot of nice time there. And once we got our breakfasts and meals sorted out everything was fine. We might go again some times but with very different expectations this time.

My family and I enjoyed our visit to this holtel in June. The rooms were clean and very cute. We had the Jimmy Neutron room. It was so nice to have a seperate sleeping area for the kids. The sofa was great to have too, and it didn't cost extra as some hotels charge more for rooms with a sofa. The pools were great but crowded. The resort was full when we went, but you were able to do everything you wanted. The shows were very fun and my kids got to participate in poolside shows and Double Dare Live. Some of the stuff costs extra, like the pool side crafts and the 4D theater, but that's part of going to Orlando. The staff were very nice and we didn't walk past one employee that didn't welcome us or greet us in some way. The hotel website doesn't give you enough information. Like if you arrive before check in time, you can leave your luggage with the bellhop and go enjoy the pool. We were hoping this would be the case, and were glad to find out it was. Overall this was a great place to vacation. We stayed at the hotel most of the time and enjoyed the pool and relaxation. My kids got slimed everyday but 1 and that was their entire goal of the trip!
