Apparently, this hotel is understaffed! We arrived there at 1 pm. They could not check us in until past 5 pm, because the room was not ready (check-in was at 4 pm)! The pool area on the 7th floor had no towels, and jacuzzis ("spas") were not fully operated; half of them were off. The internet connection was absolutely terrible; both the wired and wireless connections logged me out of the hotel's network frequently (every other minute, more often on the wireless, and this was in the middle of browsing -- it wasn't idle)! As a result, I was unable to maintain important video calls. Breakfasts were mediocre - food not that fresh. Dinner was slightly tastier, but again service was poor. The waiter forgot the Caesar salad and brought it after the main course. Room & bathroom size was OK. The sink faucets opened in reverse. Bathroom had couple of tiles missing.

Loved the Grand beach hotel. It has everything a family needs: Large suite rooms (with separate sitting & bedding area) at a value price, great pools & jacuzzi, private beach, buffet & a la carte dining menu, nice location far enough from the burstling Sobe life for a quiet relaxation but close enough for daily shopping & dining. Would definitely recommend for a daily week-end break or all-week vacation. Only watch-out is that there are no grocery shops or restaurants at walking distance.

I am very happy with hotel location, very friendly,clean with polite staff. Only one negative surprise is with high valet paring ($* plus tax), and beach staff like umbrella, beach chairs ($* per unit). With this price it can be included with no problem. In general, I am very happy that I had a chance to stay at Grand Beach Hotel.

My husband and I loved this hotel, is was convenient to public transportation, away from the hustle and bustle , but close enough to the Malls, South Beach, and Marina. Our next vacation we plan to stay at Grand Beach Hotel.
