The room itself was beautiful, plenty of room for two people. Everything thing you need to cook with or eat with is in the draws and cabnets. Everything from silverware to soap. It was nice to not have to worry about going threw the casino with all your bags. The in room dining is very expensive but worth it if you have the cash.

  • Easy check in and very helpful staff

Loved the room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. After long days of walking we enjoyed coming back to our room and soaking our achy bodies in the wonderful jetted tub. This hotel was very quite and loved the convenience of the Monarail.

As you approach the grounds, there is a guarded gate. I liked this idea since the property is actually a few blocks off strip. The grounds are very well kept. Pay attention when you drive in. It may get a bit confusing where you must go to get to your tower. There is no self park. valet only. Let the tipping begin. As the valet gets you set, the bell hop is right there to take your bags. Very quick and efficient service. The check in was quick, smooth, professional and friendly. I asked if there was a room with a good strip view available, and she gladly upgraded me to a high floor balcony room. When we got into the elevator, we found out that our high floor was the 38th/top floor. The bell hop was waiting for us at our door when we arrived. He was extremely friendly, courteous, and simply seemed as though he wanted to do more. The suite was very roomy, well laid out, nice decor, etc.. The view from the balcony was incredible. We could not wait to see the view after dark. We loved having a fridge, coffee maker and kitchenette. Even if for no other reason than to reheat a quick leftover. The pool at our tower was more than enough for us to relax during the day. Though the MGM pool complex is only a short walk away. All of the amenities of the MGM Grand are only a 5 minute walk from tower 1. The walk way is equipped with moving walkways to make it easier. The walkway is also secured during the over night hours. You must swipe your key card in order to get through to the towers. There was really nothing I can think of about the room, staff, or grounds that I would consider a negative. The only con I do have would be with the resort fees. It was not a shocker to me since I do read the fine print prior to making any purchase. I simply wonder why MGM Resorts has to charge them and their largest competitor, Caesars Entertainment, does not. At 25.00 a night, it was a little steep for a 5 night stay. When booking rooms, that is an added cost one must factor in while weighing options.
