This is what I expected (but don't always get!) for the price I paid for our room. Lovely and helpful staff ( and I am a tough judge) I have now learnt from lots of overseas travel that you just have to ASK. 99 per cent of the time, your needs are met as was the case with The Nines. Fabulous lobby lounge area, very well designed with many semi private nooks to spend time in. Everywhere spotlessly clean, very good size room ( we had a super deluxe 2 queen beds) our daughter, SIL, and 7 month old granddaughter joined us for the weekend and there was still adequate space. The only downer was the very steep valet parking charge which was $38 per night! I will emphasize again, the staff at this hotel are very very well trained in customer service and satisfaction, I really could not fault them. The greeters on the ground floor were well informed on local area, the front office staff were efficient and pleasant, the house keeping service was excellent, with follow up after every request.

Great location, right downtown across from Pioneer Square where there was a different event every day. Nice hotel with interesting room decor - lots of robin's egg blue and dark wood. The restaurant Urban Farm has fantastic food; pricey but worth it for a special evening out. Staff was attentive. Valet parking is a bit on the high side. We didn't use our car for 3 days and when it was returned to us it was a lot dirtier than when we had left it, so it was likely not parked underground. Otherwise, PORTLAND IS AMAZING!

This hotel accounts for experienced and well-trained staffs, and is located at the downtown of the city. In spite of an eco-friendly hotel, rooms are maintained very clean. One thing at which I was a little disappointed was that they lost a coffee bag which I left at lobby asking for a delivery to my friend in another room. It was not delivered to my friend. However, generally I was very satisfied with the serviced rendered during my stay. I will come back to the hotel next time with no doubt.

We chose this hotel because of the 2012 NCAA tournament in Portland. My Alma Mater's team and entourage were staying there so we knew it would be a class act - and it was! It has an interesting decor - not quite sure how to describe the rooms other than Victorian meets Contemporary. The hotel is located smack dab in the middle of Portland's downtown - the courthouse was across the street. Be prepared to pay for everything - valet parking only, room serviced coffee (no coffee machines in the room). We didn't opt for any other amenities - fitness room, wi fi, etc. because we were only there one night. We spent some time in the restaurant/bar and the food was good and the drinks excellent!
