This hotel was great for us. We came as a family for two nights over New Year's Eve. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, our room was very clean, the beds were terrific, and the breakfast was good. We brought our bikes and they stored them for us. A trail begins right at the hotel that runs along the waterfront where we biked and tossed rocks in the water. The shuttle dropped us off at the airport where we caught a BART shuttle to the BART train and went into SF. On New Year's Day the hotel shuttle dropped us off at the Oakland Colisseum for the football game. Very convenient. Our only complaint was that we waited for an hour for the pick-up shuttle after the game. Also, the pool was ok, but it would have been great to have an indoor pool. Also, the restaurants are quite a distance away. We liked the quiet, however, and felt very safe. We also had a nice view of the bay from our room.

Because of a bizarre heating system, we had to choose between 78 degrees and no heat. It was very cold out, but I can't sleep in an overheated room, so I got no sleep and was miserable the whole time we were there.

I've stayed here twice and both times have had a great experience. Front desk staff is cordial and professional, quick to go the extra step to make your visit pleasant. It's in a beautiful setting (ask for a room with a water view!), the beds and pillows are super-comfy, the free wireless internet is speedy, and the big flat-screen TV is really nice. Yes, it's at the end of the runway, but with TRIPLE windows (openable if you want the fresh sea air) there was NO noise from overhead air traffic. The breakfast and the breakfast room itself were both terrific. I will ALWAYS stay here when I have to be near the airport.

Flat screen TVs are nice. Facility is fairly new. Very noisy as the hotel is RIGHT by the end of a runway. Bathroom fixtures are low end. Bathroom is smallish. Not a great price for the value.
