Really nice looking property. Visually stunning, modern and hip. Appeals to the jet-set crowd and boutique hotel lovers. Reminded me of the boutique hotels in NYC and Miami. The check-in was easy, plenty of people at the curb ready to assist us with unloading our vehicle of luggage and valet the car. Front desk attendant gave us an upgrade to a deluxe corner room with a king size bed. Room had a lot of unique features and was immaculate. Bed was super comfortable and we liked it a lot. Shower was the best that I have seen at any hotel. The issues that we encountered: 1) The toilet is not private. The door did not go to the ceiling and this was an issue. Basically your company can hear you as you do your business. Was uncomfortable and I could see this causing issues with business travelers in a room mate situation. 2) The lighting was really dim and caused issues with applying makeup and general grooming. Need to offer better lighting options in the bathroom area around the mirrors. 3) The complimentary house car was a great bonus feature. We took the car to dinner and the driver gave us his card and said to call when we were ready to return. We went to dinner at 9:30pm. We called for a pickup at 11:15pm only to be told the car stopped at 11:00pm. Driver never informed us of this. Upon return by cab the car was sitting out front and the driver was standing there talking to bellman. Made zero sense? 4) Pool was closed due to a private event. We went to the pool area around 11:30pm on our way back to the room to simply check it out. Cleaning lady see's us walking up and runs over and locks the door as we are standing in front of it. Impossible for her not to see us and she turned and disappeared behind the bar. We laughed as this was a weird situation. Would have been easier to open the door and inform us the pool is closed. Those were our only issues and the reason why I only awarded this beautiful property 3 stars. I think this place has huge potential. It is a really unique and beautiful property. Even saw Cowboys owner Jerry Jones hanging out in the lobby. I will certainly give them another chance when I return to Dallas. Hopefully management will take note in this review and make the tweaks and adjustments this property needs to become a world class hotel.

I've stayed at the Joule several times over the past few years. Specifically for business. The staff has always been able to accommodate any requests that I had. During my most recent stay (July/August) I had the privilege to get know some of the staff. The people that made my stay more enjoyable were Meredith, Gus, and Louis. It is evident that each of these individuals have incredible people skills and truly understand Hospitality. I believe in taking care of the people that take care of me. The Joule has become a "second home" during my stays in recent years. The hotel is beautiful and art work is ornate. But, the real winner is the staff. I recommend the Joule to anyone coming thru Dallas; whether it is business or personal. The Charlie Palmer also has a very good assortment of hand-crafted cocktails and I would recommend any course on the menu. -D.Sewell

The hotel is very impressive in a pristine location in downtown Dallas. The decor tastefully reflects energy and elegance. The service from the bell staff to the front desk is impeccable; they truly strive to make you feel welcomed and comfortable upon your arrival. The pool is incredible and it extends beyond the building over the streets of downtown Dallas. It is by far the place to be not to mention their nightclub called PM Nightlife is a ton of fun. The rooms are super and the views are spectacular. Food at Charlie Palmers is delightful. I highly recommend this hotel for business and pleasure.

The definition by Webster - A Jewel of its Own - the definition by Experience.. A gem that downtown Dallas should be very proud of. The Joule was probably one of most incredible visits/stays in a hotel in all my business career. From the moment I got out of my car until I called for it very early the morning of my departure - I felt like I was at home, a very luxurious home, I may add. The staff greeted with southern charm and graciousness and went all out to make sure my stay was the absolute best. A hotel can supply you with nice amenties and fluffy pillows - but it is always the staff and their seeing to the customer that always wins the customer over. Quiet, good food, great drinks and very comfortable beds and very convenient to so many downtown venues.. The pool is a conversation all its own..
