Although outside doors to corridors require room keys to open, one was blocked open the whole time I stayed there. Other than that and a very loud party around 2 a.m. one night, I have no complaints. The breakfasts were certainly better than most in motels in this price range.

The Royal Garden Inn, Salt Lake City, is in a great location. it is very easy to get to and strategically located as a base for excursions into the Great Basin, Nevada, and the mountains for winter and summer activities. It is dated and the whole facility needs a facelift, however, I would recommend it to anyone.

Too far from the Salt Palace (where my convention was being held). The community I had to walk through appeared to be unsafe for anyone walking alone. I only recommend this hotel if you are in a group and just need some place cheap to sleep.
