and this met my expectations. From the moment I walked in the door I was impressed with the facility. The staff is friendly, professional, yet unpretentious. The lobby and the ground level bar and restaurant are sleek and modern, but intimate. My room was standard size with very cool decor. The floor is part hardwood by the one-piece, room-length dresser, bar, tv stand and desk and then it is carpeted in the platform bed area. Two chairs in the room are perfect - one is a comfortable leather office chair, the other is an oversize elliptical-shaped stuffed chair complete with a soft throw. The bed and pillows were very comfortable complete with fine linens. The bathroom is immaculate and has a oversize shower with both hand-held and rain shower heads. Some fun items are the shower's glass wall, the bathroom vessel sink and the heavy door that serves as both the bathroom and closet door. The hotel delivers a complimentary USA Today to your door in the morning and provides a nice complimentary buffet breakfast until 10:30 am. Perfect for sleepyheads. Wi-Fi is throughout the building and their is a spectacular IPod player in the room. I will definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Dana Hotel for the first time, and for just one night while checking our daughter into Loyola Univ. Knowing it had just opened up in June 2008, didn't know what to expect. What a wonderful experience, all the way around! The ultra-modern facade, the environmentally-friendly interiors, and the beautiful, luxurious rooms were all WOW factors. The shower is to die for - It feels like being inside a waterfall! The bed was so comfy that staying in bed all day was very tempting. They have an asst of candies, chocolates and peanuts (all delicious!) in bags that are available in the room. It's on an ""Honor"" system to pay, which speaks volumes about this hotel's respect for their guests. Also in the room is a mini-fridge filled with various beverages. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, and the robe was so soft , comfy and good-looking, that we ended up buying one (at $, still a bargain!) They have a continental breakfast which looked great. Every hotel employee was very friendly and helpful. Tim Anderson is one of the most delightful and patient concierges we have ever dealt with. From coming up to our room to help with the coffee machine, giving us directions on how to get to the hotel, and fixing a problem with parking fees, he handled everything with humour and grace. He became a ""friend"" in a very short period of time, and was very sincere about wanting our daughter call him for anything, while she's in school in Chicago. ! It's a fabulous place, and we hope to return there many times. Having stayed at numerous other hotels in Chicago, we give the Dana a whole-hearted endorsement!

There is not much info on this hotel, and really not that many pictures, so I just booked it in hopes that it would be okay. The room they gave us was a corner room, and it is the nicest room I ever stayed in! They have floor to ceiling windows, so the room had a great view because half of the room was windows! I almost never wanted to leave my room! The room is also very contemporary, which is definately my style. They have a keurig coffee/tea maker in the room which is great if you drink that stuff and even a wine fridge with jones bar sodas also, for a decent price. The shower is amazing! It a waterfall type showerhead and the showerhead comes off the ceiling, really nice and you can see through the glass shower to your bedroom. They also have a nice speaker system to put your ipod on in the room, that thing cost $600 at the apple store, so def bring your ipod. The staff was really nice too, very firiendly. I didn't get a chance to go to the spa, so I don't know about that, or the restaraunt. But there were people there every night for dinner, there was a good crowd, so it must be good since they just opened 2 months ago. They also have free wifi, that was a big plus, we definately used that everyday, and also a free continental breakfast (though we didn't take advantage of it)...they had pastries, juices, cereal). The hotel is a couple of blocks from the subway, so not too bad and the doormen always got us a cab really quick, so it's a good location too...close to michigan avenue and all that. Nice place!

Didn't know what to expect from this new hotel (opened June 2008), but from the time we walked into the front door the staff was friendly, polite and very relaxed. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Its location on State Street is perfect for anything you want to do in Chicago with the Magnificent Mile just a couple of blocks away and a vast array of restaurants just down the street. Definitely recommend this hotel.
