  • the hotel was just like we were at home

    The hotel was very nice. the staff was friendly. the location was great. would highly recommend . we visit area alot due to visiting family there.

    THE HOTEL WAS VERY NICE. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. THE LOCATION WAS GREAT. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND . WE VISIT AREA ALOT DUE TO VISITING FAMILY THERE.

    We checked in around 4:30 in the afternoon and were the only guests there. That should have been my first clue. We got a room on the 2nd floor and then learned there is no elevator. Not a big issue unless you have very bad knees and heavy luggage, I guess. Room was adequate. Shower was pitiful. Water temperature indicator not functional. Bathroom door would not shut all the way because of the door frame pulling away from the door opening at least an inch. No AC in hallway. Bad smell in hallway. Owner not present. Did not complain to desk clerk on checking out because he was elderly and was asleep. I knew he could not do anything. Have filed complaint with LaQuinta corporate headquarters. I know this hotel is individually owned but they are operating under the LaQuinta brand. Hotel discount booklet showed this to be a "brand new hotel". False advertising in my book. Filing complaint with Georgia Department of Tourism too. Would not stay in LaQuinta again due to this visit. If they let owners get away with this, they don

    Stayed at this hotel on several business trips. Owner acted like he was accommodating me by giving me free water, but for a frequent traveler according to their website, an ELITE cardholder should get this anyway. Hotel staff in the evening was wonderful, helpful and very kind; mornings were a different story. Not as friendly or welcoming as the night before but tolerable. Issues were minor and overlooked until last visit when we walked in to find a dead mouse in the bathroom! After speaking with the owner's wife, my coworker was told she couldn't do anything--until I explained we did not pay for the extra 'guest.' She changed her attitude and decided to fix this. The owner called me later to explain this was the ONLY mouse in the hotel and everything was fine now....hard to believe considering the size was rather small--where there's a baby, there's usually a mama mouse... The treatment of my staff was less than professional and discriminatory to say the least; our rooms were comped but we will never stay at this LaQuinta again due to this incident.

    Checked in with small children after 7:30 pm. went swimming with them to find out the pool decking was very rough concrete and will cut your fingers and feet. ...

    Checked in with small children after 7:30 pm. Went swimming with them to find out the pool decking was very rough concrete and will cut your fingers and feet. Left after a few minutes. Came back with food for dinner and started to notice room was not clean. No plastic cups, very dirty pillows and then pulled out sofa bed for kids to find filthy sheets in middle of bed. Talked to front desk and was told we would either have a free nights stay or a very discounted room fee. We started Swithching rooms at 9:15pm . I wanted to switch hotels but wife said the children were very tired. Checking out-- I confront owner about how rude he was in the hallway talking about us so everyone can hear his lies. He first denies it and then he finally admits he has to talk loud to the cleaning staff because they are Mexicans and dont understand english very good. I couldnt believe he said that. He now says he will not discount the room and for me to check out. Wife is now telling me 3 hours later in the car that she found toe nail clipper , a butane lighter, chocolate, and fruit loops all in and around the seatin our new room while I was switching the rooms the night before .Wife tried to get some bread at breakfeast and it was molded asked front desk she brought out bread dated best before June 6th and it was dried out. Desk clerk didnt take molded bread out of case -wife did- Do not stay here owner is a pain in the but for allowing a 10 month old hotel to be like this .

    Checked in with small children after 7:30 pm. Went swimming with them to find out the pool decking was very rough concrete and will cut your fingers and feet. Left after a few minutes.
