Use Caution with valet parker! Had a wonderful stay in Atlanta, and thought the hotel was great but need to ammend my previous review because of one very poor and careless negative incident. The hotel uses a valet to park your car in the nearby garage, and the valet parker for the hotel dinged my car door. No one has driven my car except for me and the valet, and we found the ding soon after making a positive review how much we enjoyed the hotel. There is about 1/4" of paint chipped off at the edge of my driver door. The kind of ding that could only be made by opening my door with some force into another object. (I was prepared to receive a ding from the close parking but not at all will I accept without complaint the sorriness of the hotel valet causing the ding himself. Perhaps I did not tip properly? This review is made to caution others!

My wife and I had a very pleasant and romantic stay for the 2 nights spent in Atlanta. The Hotel is well located to walk many areas downtown and easy access for driving to other areas. The staff was very helpful and friendly and contributed to an excellent overall impression. The deluxe king room was nice and clean with good view of the city. The Restaurant was Excellent! Also noteworthy was the comfort of the bed... For our income level, this was the best value for the money. Thank you!

It's nice staying at an "independent" that strives for an identity that makes it a memorable stay. The staff was outstanding. Bar was well stocked. The wine list is eclectic, promoting a lot of local wines and all American wines. The Ellis has among the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. I'll stay here again next time I need to be in downtown ATL.

The Ellis was a very nice hotel with a wonderful staff. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and the bell hop staff always went out of their way to help us. We ate breakfast at their restaurant and it was delicious as was the coffee there. The only negative thing about the hotel is that the rooms are very small. I would recommend this hotel to others
