The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were small, but clean. The location is outstanding for the price. There are good food options that are close by. We go to NYC every two years and I will stay here again. It is probably not a great option for a family due to the small spaces, but perfect for a couple's get away.

  • Good Value, Great Location

I would recommend staying at Club Quarters if you are looking for a nice place to stay in the city and you don't expect a high level of customer service. We stayed in one of the Superior Rooms, which is a nice-sized room with a queen bed, a couch area and a small kitchenette. Since we weren't planning on staying in the hotel much anyway during the visit, this was just what we needed. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would have is the service, and really it isn't even that big of an issue to me. When I originally booked the hotel, I paid extra for a Superior room. Just two days before my visit, I decided to call the hotel, just to confirm that my reservation was confirmed. It was, however I was booked for a standard room. This was annoying, but by sending them a quick confirmation email and a return phone call, this was cleared up. The lobby is a bad set up. IT is small, and you have to check in while standing right in front of the entrance, standing in everyone's way. Also, many groups of travelers congregate in that small lobby, making it difficult just to walk in and out of the hotel. However, overall we had a very nice time. The room was great. The location is great. Generally, the staff is friendly. If you are coming to New York to visit the city, and not spend time in the hotel, I would definitely recommend.

  • I loved the decor.

We arrived at the hotel around 9am early of our 11am check in. Upon arrival we were told that it would be an extra $35 for early check in and the parking garage was a few streets over we declined the early check in and headed to the garage on 54th street. We returned around 4pm and were told the room I originally booked was taken. After trying to cancel my reservation and go to another hotel they magically came up with the room I originally booked. Upon inspection of the room we noticed the bathroom had not been cleaned in a while( mold all over the shower tooth paste in the sink and on the counter). I later also discovered a moldy loaf of bread in the kitchen cabinet and an open box of condoms. The bed was also very old and uncomfortable. I don't plan to return here. For a few dollars more you can stay at a few very nice places in the city...

I would recommend this hotel. The rooms are small but nice and clean. There is a coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing board and iron in the room. The location is great 51st street between 5th and 6th Avenues easy walk to Times Square and Central Park. The Café Duke @ 140 W 51st Street is great place to buy a beer sit at a table and watch the crowds stroll by.
