We recently took a weekend trip to Boston which I booked THREE months in advance. When we arrived at the Westin we were told that the room we reserved had been given away because it was "first come, first serve" I asked what the point of a reservation was if we were unable to receive the room we had booked? To which the customer service rep responded "do you want the room or not?" We were stuck in a room with two double beds, INSTEAD OF THE KING I RESERVED - I am 6 feet tall as is my husband, and we certainly did not enjoy sleeping on a tiny bed with half of our legs hanging off. We have stayed in many Westin facilities, and while the hotel and grounds were extremely nice, the service was terrible, and the staff snobbish to say the least.

Though the hotel is new and fairly clean, it is sterile and has very little character. Our room had a view of equipment on the roof, with the equipment so close to the window there was little natural light allowed in. The room was clean, except for plenty of hair in the bathroom. The pool was a bit small, bit otherwise very nice. The kids loved it. We had breakfast at Sauciety - food was excellent, servers and hostess were friendly and helpful. Most distressingly, we were awakened at 12:30AM by a screaming fight in the room next door. There is not sufficient sound insulation, so we could hear every word. I was traveling with two children, and they were awake and upset. I waited a few minutes, but finally called security. They responded quickly - I could hear them talking and telling our neighbors to be quiet - but within minutes the noise began again, and continued for about an hour. The kids finally got back to sleep, but I was awake for a couple of hours. The episode definitely ruined the weekend for me, as I was exhausted the next day. I understand that these things happen, and the hotel has little control, but the sound insulation could be better and they could have offered to compensate me in some way for the inconvenience. I reported the incident again when I checked out, and was told 'we're very sorry', but that was it.

Top quality hotel at a very reasonable price. only drawback is it is a 15 min. taxi ride to downtown. hotel does provide free but limited shuttle service in pm.

The hotel was located near a subway station so that was great! Our room was beautiful. My only gripes are that Wireless internet costs $12.95 per 24hrs in your room which I think is a little ridiculous when it is free at less expensive hotels and the hotel's convenience store closes at 8 or 9pm and there are no vending machines in the hotel if you want a midnight snack or beverage.

This hotel is a wonderful hotel. The staff are perfect. The valets were so friendly and helpful giving us instructions on how to get to our destinations. The front desk was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. It was a great hotel. Will stay there again.
