This Westin is clean and comfortable with a luxurious lobby, good restaurants, and two nice bars. However, the neighborhood has very little to offer other than the convention center. The walk to the T-stop is quite far and even though I wouldn't have minded walking, the streets in that area were not walker-friendly. The hotel had an abundance of taxis out front, however, and it was only about $10 to ride to the North End. I would recommend this hotel, but only if you get a great deal. Otherwise, pay a little more and stay closer to a T stop.

This is my third visit. Price is in line with the location. My only complaint is having to pay $10.00 a night extra to read my e-mail. In the past I stayed at another hotel that was half the price but had free internet service. The main dining room is pretty pricy but there is an affordable restaurant on the same property with great food.

Even after signing up for the "premium faster WI-FI through the Westin for $19.95" a night, it didn't work the entire evening of my stay. I spent two hours waiting for the contracted off-site IT people to work with the Boston Westin to fix a 'site access" or hotel modem issue... Never happened, and there wasn't an IT person on site that evening despite having a convention with 27,000 attendees at the Convention Center adjacent to the hotel. For a hotel situated next to a Convention Center, I find it problematic to not have an IT person on site at all times to resolve these issues in a timely manner. If this were a free service (common at most of the business hotels I've used), I'd not be so critical but Starwoods charges $20 a day for internet Wi-Fi...

The hotel was wonderful. Very clean room, extremely comfortable beds, great ameneties and friendly and efficient staff. The only negative I saw (only a very minor one) was that it's relatively far from restaurants and downtown in the sense of "being right there" where all the restaurants and downtown attractions are. However, this point is moot if you're taking a cab. I would absolutely stay here in the future if i'm in Boston again.
