We tried to spend as little time as possible in the hotel so amenities weren't super important, but here are a few thought regarding our stay; * very helpful and accommodating staff. * a nice little touch was that the pastry selection for the continental breakfast changed everyday. * The alley is on the east side of the bldg - you will know when the garbage truck come around if you are a light sleeper. Didn't bother either me or my son. My wife on the other hand.. * all of the lights in the room were connected to a fancy remote control on the night stand. It was nice not having to walk across the room to turn on/off the lights (or be blinded going to the washroom in the middle of the night). * the hotel is less than a block away from the zoo and beach. Front desk will loan out beach towels, chairs, etc. Worked out great for my family. * there is an ABC convenience store just west of the hotel on the other side of the alley. We didn't realize this until a few days into our stay. * we paid the $*/day for valet parking with unlimited in/out privileges. While we might have got cheaper parking elsewhere, it was just too convenient not to use. Just pull up to the front. If there is no one at the valet stand, the guest desk will take care of you. Do not go up the tiny ramp on the west side of the hotel. You will find a very, very tiny parking lot with minimal room to turn around..

Service was great, staff are friendly and helpful, location is great, bed is very comfortable & the restroom is very clean. The only bad side was the loud music coming from the other hotel at night and the garbage truck picking up the garbage from the other hotel early in the morning. Advice for anyone who wants to book this hotel, request upper level.

When you arrive you are greeted with super-delicious juice and cold ginger-scented face towels. It was a very nice welcome. Every member of the staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were modern and comfortable. The bed was super comfy. Very nice shower; but the sink drained very slowly. You are a 1 minute walk to the beach.The only major negative is the soundproofing. I could hear the person in the adjacent room watching TV until 1 AM. Needless to say, I couldn't sleep. The TV wasn't even turned up very loud; it's just there must be absolutely NO soundproofing in between the rooms. I could also hear street noise all the way up on the 6th floor where we were staying. All in all it was very nice hotel. If I stayed there again I would definitely bring earplugs.
