This hotel was outstanding in every way. It is located on the edge of the Back Bay of Boston: close enough to walk to all the great shopping, restaurants, and public gardens; but not right in the heart of the noise and crowds of Newbury and Boylston streets. The lobby welcomes you with a classy, beautiful, minimalist style. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and always available. There is a hip little pub downstairs that has a nice upscale scene at night. The room was large, bright, clean, and had an enormous and modern bathroom. Our ironing board was broken, and a new one was brought to us as soon as we asked. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job of cleaning and, like everyone else there, were very friendly. All in all, this is definitely the nicest place I've stayed in Boston, and one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at anywhere (that includes places like the Waldorf Astoria, Hyatt Regency, Omni Hotels). It's a bit expensive, but if you're willing to spend the money, it's definitely worth it - you won't be disappointed.

This was our first time and Boston. The hotel was very inviting and clean! The first thing I didn't like was the bellhops were outside talking and didn't recognize us. We were with bags in hand and the guy didn't realize we were staying there. The only other gripe is the price of the food there is ridiculous! The hotel itself was excellent, the receptionist was inviting and knowledgeable. The room was great, clean and comfortable. The towel warmers in the bathroom were an added touch. We went in the winter but was very warm in the hotel and kept the window open pretty much the whole time. Not sure if we didn't know how to turn on the AC or if it just didn't work. Was still comfortable and would recommend it again. In fact we are going back in two weeks!

the hotel experience was great. staff very courteous and pleasent. I like to run and the hotel is only five blocks from Charles river where one can run along and enjoy the beautiful scenery. cross the bridge and you are on campus of cambridge. we lucked out on weather. food is a little expensive in hotel however, coffee delievered to your room in am is a treat. there are a bunch of nice restaurants within walking distance that are very good. will definitely come back again subway is just around the corner that helps one get around boston rather inexpensively. the staff very helpful in guiding new comers to boston in planning tours.
