- Beginning March 1, 2013, the South Point Hotel will be charging a nightly resort fee of 12.50 plus tax, 14.00 total. This fee will include in room Wi-Fi, use of fitness center, local and toll free phone calls from guest rooms, boarding passes, and airport shuttle.

This was our 2nd time staying at South Pointe Hotel and Casino. This is an incredible venue to watch the superbowl! The ballrooms are spacious and the food/drinks very reasonably priced. The staff through-out the hotel was extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone from the gift shop, to housekeeping to the bowling alley, to the restaurants were cordial and contributed to our overall enjoyment.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. Greatest plus: On-site Bowling, Movie Theaters, Pool, Spa and Restaurants. Easy access from freeway and Outlet nearby. Hotel was fairly new, Service/Staff was very helpful, Food reasonable/well-prepared, Family-friendly. Early check-in allowed. Negative would be daily internet charge, understaffed for luggage handling and noise from children running.

I've stayed at South Point several times, most recently during the CES show when the strip hotels jack their rates through the roof. Not only did South Point stay very affordable, but they eschew the extremely annoying (and seemingly class action lawsuit worthy) "resort fees" the big hotels tack on to your bill nowadays. Anyway, the casino is a bit too smoky smelling, and the beds aren't the most comfortable, but with only a ten-minute drive from the strip, if you have a car, I think this hotel is the best value in Vegas.

Service at check in was a little spotty. First agent was very curt and rude. We had a little problem withh credit card authorization. She made no offer to make any alternate arrangements. We fixed problem and came back to adifferent person. Very helpful and pleasant. Good prices at restaurants and bars. A little farther from the strip that I would like, but they do have a shuttle for 8.00 R/T. Lots of ammenities: bowling ally,movie theatre etc. Decent clean rooms. Would probably stay again if price was right.
