- Beginning March 1, 2013, the South Point Hotel will be charging a nightly resort fee of 12.50 plus tax, 14.00 total. This fee will include in room Wi-Fi, use of fitness center, local and toll free phone calls from guest rooms, boarding passes, and airport shuttle.

We thought the accomodations were simply excellent. We arrived on a Wednesday night about 10PM and got checked in quickly and made our way to what turned out to be wonderful rooms. We enjoyed a great buffet, FREE when we got a Players Club Card which was effortless, at at the Coronado and had great meals at excellent prices. If we would have any complaints it was having to walk through the casino with cigarette smoke and odors as we are non smokes. An irritation but not enough to say that our experience was less than excellent.

We found South Point Probably 4 years ago. I'll bet we are there 6 times a year. It's the best value. We can depend on it to be clean. I have stayed alone as a single woman, and have always felt completely safe. Clean, safe, good poker tables in fact all new area last time we were there. Same employees year in year out, and always glad to see us. Nice Thanks for a great place to call home when in Vegas!

I really enjoyed my stay at South Point as it had things to do for not only the adults but our 3 year old as well who loved the kiddy pool (which is 3 1/2 feet deep). I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Of course, it is 10-15 minute drive to the strip but overall, I liked this hotel and would recommend to friends.

Beware if they use your card. If you travel as a couple and one card is used to hold the reservation and the other person pays the bill via cash or their card make sure you keep record. They charged me 2 months after our trip claiming it wasn't billed correctly. My card was never to be charged and I was assured that it would NOT be by the desk clerk. My boyfriend paid the bill in full; even our extended stay. Yet 2 months later they charge my card an extra 35 bucks. The manager rudely lied saying she had no other transaction, card, or cash on file. She refused to let me talk to her boss claiming that they weren't there and I had to talk with her. I now have to deal with my bank and file paperwork. Stay on the strip! It's not worth the trouble at this place and I will never stay with them again!

This is not my first stay at this hotel. Hotel prices tend to shoot up outrageously over a 3 day weekend. South Point is much more reasonable, better value, and has much better rooms. Even my relatives that flew in from another country were impressed at their rooms. When we were given free lunch buffets on Monday and tasted so well, we were left with a good feeling we should definitely book here our next vacation stays than anywhere else.
