- Beginning March 1, 2013, the South Point Hotel will be charging a nightly resort fee of 12.50 plus tax, 14.00 total. This fee will include in room Wi-Fi, use of fitness center, local and toll free phone calls from guest rooms, boarding passes, and airport shuttle.

Room is quite large. Nicely furnished. Bathroom is large and has private areas. Room was quiet even though overlooked pools. Restaurants we tried were good and reasonable. Casino not too smoky and nice patrons, service people. Everyone went out of their way to make things easy, comfortable and fun.

People are talking about the decline of Vegas lately. High prices, low customer service ratings, cleanliness, just not the same Vegas we have become accustomed to. Not so at the South Point. Not only did we score a fabulous rate for a king bed room, the room was so much nicer than any we have had on The Strip. We planned to stay only one night, but our flight to Denver was cancelled because of a storm. We briefly considered trying to find lodging close to the airport, but quickly decided to just go back to South Point. Got the same great rate, too. Wonderful people working at check-in after learning of our predicament. Can't say enough about how professional and cheerful they were. The shuttle bus to/from the airport was on time, a nice easy ride, and reasoably priced compared to other means of transportation. Although South Pointe is about 8 miles south of The Strip, the shuttle will take you there as well. South Point has plenty of food options to satisfy everyone's palate. The casino isn't the biggest in Vegas, but it's not a small casino either. I wish I could say I took some of their money home but, well, we know how Vegas can be. Would we stay there again? Oh yeah! It will be our first choice on any future trip. There is plenty of action at South Point (movie theater, bowling, event center and more, enough for several days of fun. This is a great place, away from the strip, but has everything you want.
