- Beginning March 1, 2013, the South Point Hotel will be charging a nightly resort fee of 12.50 plus tax, 14.00 total. This fee will include in room Wi-Fi, use of fitness center, local and toll free phone calls from guest rooms, boarding passes, and airport shuttle.

A friend and I wen't out to Vegas for a long weekend. This was a great hotel that wasn't on the strip but just down the road. If we wanted to go to the strip or downtown it was a quick drive. There were four resturants and the one we ate at was good, the pool looked nice (it was to cold to swim), and they had an in-house bowling alley. Lastly we met world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the hotel! I would stay here again.

As far as Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos go South Point is pretty much like all of the others. The major difference is its' location. Located a couple miles south of the Strip, the facility has the distinction of having tons of free parking with easy access to highways leading to the city and the Strip. It has all the amenities you would expect from a Las Vegas hotel/casino. South Point contains a large outdoor pool area, a movie theater and a bowling alley. Several restaraunts and bars are available with different menus and price ranges. Lastly the casino is large and well staffed. My only complaint would be having to pass through a smoke-filled casino to get to and from my room. All of the casinos have the same floor plan. Since the South Point seems to cater to families I was hoping that wouldn't be the case there. All in all I had a nice stay at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa.

The South Point Hotel & Casino is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, always look nice, and are very comfortable. The casino has a wide array of games, and the food is good and at a good price. Have stayed at the South Point many times, and will continue to do so in the future.

02/08/2011This hotel is very clean and has nice big rooms, and the staff was very helpful, too. however you need to take the shuttle or a taxi to go downtown.
