This was my first time staying at South Point Hotel, C&S. I could not get assistance with luggage when I arrived unless you valet park the car. The room was comfortable but nothing exceptional. The maid service was very good. The Don Vito restaurant downstairs would not seat me and my business associates even though they had only 4 tables with customers. I said we wanted appetizers, wine or cocktails. We had to order a full meal or else. I went next door to the Silverado Steak House and it was no problem. The shoe shine men are not to be missed, especially Clarence.. He's a great conversationalist and puts a great shine on your shoes. The Oyster Bar's food is over priced and not that good. The service people were courteous but understaffed. The Garden Buffet (sp?) was what you would expect from a Buffet. The in room internet service is good but you pay an additional $12.99 for it per day. If you plan to utilize the gym to work out, here's another surprise for you, $15.99 per day. You could go to the pool without being charged. Just be aware that most everything cost extra. I would stay there again only after speaking to the manager so as to expect better staff service and negotiate some standard comforts like the gym and internet usage.

  • Not bad for a medium-end casino

Room quality was OK, but the listed price is $20 low, as they add a "resort fee" of $20 for every night, which I found quite annoying. Also, I HATE the sound of slot machines and really dislike being forced to walk through a forest of them to get to the room elevators.

  • This is my favorite place to stay when in LV

It has everything and the theaters/show tops all of it off. doesn't hurt that i've won a little money on the machines too. the buffet is great.

Very nice place, but if you are looking for something that is near the strip, this isn't it. nice, comfortable rooms, very clean.

  • Nice hotel a little way off the strip
