We live in Abu Dhabi and travel to Dubai often for business and pleasure. We had two adult daughters traveling with us and we managed to be upgraded to an Executive Suite. Lovely Arabesque Rooms with excellent proximity to Dubai Creek, Bur Dubai and authentic arab flavor versus the mega-hotels that are full of bling in the Mall Areas all over Dubai. We will book this hotel again for our next Dubai trip.

I chose this hotel based on the last review posted here and have to agree with all that gentleman had said. There could be a few more umbrellas around the pool, but then I did not go there for the pool. Between the facilities, to include restaurants and bar, and the efficient and friendly international staff, the place is worth your money. They could also sound-proof the windows so that the muezzin does not throw you out of bed at 4:30 a.m. But - you are in an Arabic country.

The hotel is in the middle of the old town, which is really what you want to see. Everything else is just a tourist trap, expensive and overloaded. The nice parts of Dubai are just around the corner and when you don't want to spend $* to see a hotel lobby, then this is your place. The personell is very friendly, you receive a welcome drink, a great room with a beautiful view and a complementary fruit absket. And this in Dubi, where absolutely nothing is for free. We give it five stars no question.
