My wife and I were in London for 5 days of theater and sightseeing and, having spent our children's inheritance on tickets to the shows, wanted a pleasant, clean and affordable hotel . This hotel worked perfectly for us. Adequate breakfast, pleasant rooms, well-maintained and very clean. A few blocks from two tube stations, a few nice pubs and a number of small restaurants, it was just what we hoped for. We used the free internet in the lobby area during the rare times that we hung around the hotel.

My family stayed at the Holiday Inn Earls Court during the London portions of our stay. The staff let us check-in three hours early which was awesome as a sick child had not allowed my wife and I an opportunity to sleep on the flight over. The rooms are a little tight, but very clean and functional. Located ten minutes (by foot) from the West Kensington tube stop on the District Line, it was easy to visit the London Centre. Breakfasts were very complete, and there are plenty of restaurants and covenience stores in the area to grab something to eat. On the day of our departure, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and do some last-minute sightseeing before heading to the airport. Be warned - taxi fare to/from Heathrow is 63 pounds!

This was the best hotel I stayed at during my entire vacation. The rooms and bathrooms are so clean and spacious. The staff was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions wonderfully. The continental breakfast is very filling and delicious. There were at least 4 different pastries to choose from and even had cereal. It is only a 5-10min walk from the metro and you could pretty much go anywhere from there. I highly recommend this place.

We arrived at the hotel at 0745 after an overnite flight from the U.S. The hotel staff readily took our luggage to a secure storage closet so that we could start our sightseeing as check-in was at 1500. We returned in the early evening to a very quick check-in. Our 'family' room was set-up and turned down for us already. The fold out couch was adequate but tight for two teenage boys. Continental breakfast was a buffet style of fruits, yogurts, cereals, rolls, danish and muffins. It was not advertised as an all-you-can-eat but we had our fill and there was plenty more for everyone staying there. The staff were very quick with the dish removal and table cleaning to seat the guests. We returned each night to a very clean room with the extra towels we requested. Check-out was also quick. The 8-10 minute walk from West Kensington or West Brompton tube stations to the hotel would only be too long if it were raining. The 'District Line' trains are quick to the heart of London or a one station away change to the 'Picadilly Line' to Heathrow. Local eataries are many for families with teenagers. If we wanted more up-scale, we ate downtown. North End Road is a busy street lined with apartments and shops. Reading other reviews about the neighborhood, I was expecting it to be much more intimadating than it actually was. Next time we go without the kids!
