We stayed here one night to go to the ballgame. When we checked in the lady acted as if we were bothering her, we had to ask were everything was, when was breakfast, how late pool was open. We were woke up at 4:30 in the morning with someone attempting to get into our room. The keyed they had worked; the door came open thankfully we had the bar hooked so they were not able to come in. I jumped out of bed and ran to the door as it partially opened. The guy asked if this was room xxx, I said yes. He said well I guess they double booked your room. He apologized for waking us up. In the morning, I told the girl at the front desk; she could care less. Of course there was not a manager around. Needless to say we didn’t sleep much after that. The kids were terrified someone would come in.

This hotel was beautiful! Very clean and nice. The hotel is in a great location down the street from the minor league park (Springfield Cardinals) and the downtown district (Gillioz theatre).

The room I stayed in had some issues. The air conditioner did not work properly, the toilet was clogged (not from us), and there was an overall feeling of the room not being cleaned well. The breakfast was a positive part of the stay.

Hotel is new. Had a king size bed. The mattress was fantastic as were the pillows that were labeled ""hard"" and ""soft"" on the pillow cover. Close to the University and close enough to the Springfield Cardinal stadium that you could walk to it. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel looks nice, but our room, 232, was awful. When entering our room smelled sour and we soon found out why. The previous guest has left a pint of ice cream floating in the ice bucket, which the maid did not clean. There were cherrios behind the chair, a glob of ice cream on the air unit, and a straw on the floor. The blankets were dirty and the phones were filthy! When we brought the ice bucket to the front desk, we received no apology, just a new ice bucket. Thankfully, we always bring our own blankets and pillows (hotel blankets are rarely washed) so we did not have to use the ones provided. We walked to Walgreen's next door and purchased frabreeze and clorox wipes. We sprayed everything and cleaned all surfaces with the wipes, again the phones were DIRTY! Maybe not all their rooms are like this, but they need to train their maids to clean better or this hotel will be a dump in a very short time. Everthing else looked nice, the breakfast was alright and it was nice to have the sundry shop next to the front desk. Good location for us and we could not hear outside noise. We would not stay here again.
