The Hotel 71 is in the perfect location for visiting downtown Chicago. You can easily walk to michigan ave. shopping and loop shopping. The room itself was a bit average, but I think that there is a wide variety of room qualities in the hotel.

When looking for a hotel for a recent pleasure trip to Chicago, I automatically searched for my previous favorite located a few blocks away. I was upset that it was fully booked. Not only was Hotel 71 more reasonably priced, it was more accessible to the sites of Chicago. The staff was fantastic. All in all, it was an excellent value in a great location. I would highly recommend it to all -- tourist and business traveler alike.

Overall my boyfriend and i had a good experience there. Great room with a nice view and incredibly comfortable bed. The location was perfect for going out and about. My only complaint is that housekeeping seemed to show up when we were there and despite telling them when we would beout we never had our room cleaned

We stayed here on a trip to run the Chicago Marathon in October and were given a room on the river side and could not believe the view!!! It was straight out of a postcard. The room was cute and funky but the bed could have been a little more comfortable. Hotel staff was extremely helpful in suggesting things for us to see and do. Overall a great stay!
