Small rooms, not so freindly staff.
08/04/2012The room was too small even for ny standards. there was no space in this room to open the suitcase or even to walk around. the ac smelled very bad ...
The room was too small even for NY standards. There was no space in this room to open the suitcase or even to walk around. The AC smelled very bad and the carpet was sticky. But the worst was the daytime-reception staff. They were neither friendly nor helpful! After checking-out, we needed to get on a bus 3 streets away from the hotel. We had half an hour left, so we asked the hotel staff to help us in getting a taxi. But they just replied "sorry, we don't offer this service". In the end, we even missed our bus! How can we recommend this hotel to our friends?

Read all the reviews before booking this hotel so let me agree/disagree with some of them. Good - The location of this hotel is excellent, right next to Penn Station, MSG, Macy's and the 34th St subway. Staff was extremely nice and courteous, know that if you are going to be gone all day after check out they will hold your bags for free, BIG PERK!! Breakfast was good, plentiful. Very modern room. Bad - the room is small (but this is NY# and for the price, um, let's just say it would be good for one, couple okay, family no way. Also note that the hotel is going through a remodel so if you stay during the week then a 7am jack hammer is to be expected #we got a free hotel night for it - good thing we were getting up that early already). Overalll it was a nice stay but the prices I think are a little steep for what you get but would recommend.
