My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans French Quarter for two nights and we were very pleased with our choice. We were looking for a place that would be close to the French Quarters and within a reasonable price. This was just the place. The hotel is located within a couple of blocks of Bourbon St. The room was nice. My only complaint would be that our room had a strong smell of cigarrette smoke. Apparently it had been smoked in. I guess I could have asked for a smoke free room, but my wife and I figured we could deal with it since we were ready to get out and start enjoying our weekend. The A/C worked just fine. The bed was very comfortable. Parking is expensive, but it probably is the same everywhere else around the French Quarters. The Staff was polite and helpful. We don't have any major complaints.
Very comfortable beds and safe place to lay your head. However, very pricey.07/04/2011

We wanted a place that was easy to get into and out of. We were not interested in a picturesque quaint place with a view. It was a excellent hotel for the money spent. Within walking distance to French Quarter and nice restaurants. Valet service was great!

I enjoyed my stay in The Big Easy. This hotel is right in the "hub" of The French Quarter--you walk everywhere to everything within minutes! Extremely convient location. The excitement and life within the French Quarter and its surrounding attractions(garden and warehouse districts.)does lead one to have a very long enjoyable day however; it also puts a strain on one being an early riser for the next day. WE slept til late morning(for three mornings.), and proceeded with our day outside. Our room during that time was never addressed by Hiltons' house-keeping staff even when I complained after the first day! We were out for eight(8) hours daily and our room was never addressed. We were offered a free breakfast, but a clean room would have digested better--such a shame, and NO...I would not reccomend this hotel to a friend.
