The Aqua Palms is a good hotel for the money. It was very clean, the staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms are well appointed. The beds are very comfortable, they have new 42"" LCD-TVs. Bathrroms are small but in good condition with granite countertops and good water pressure. The fridge and micorwave are stainless steel and look great. The carpet was generally in good shape and clean with good padding. You get free wired internet, safe and other ammenities that are extra at other hotels. The pool is small but it was clean and not crowded. Important to note, that most hotels have small pools so it's not unique to the Palms. The parking garage is narrow but managable. The three elevators worked fast and never broke down while we were there and I understand that they will be replacing them soon. The continental breakfast offers fresh and great tasting muffins and sweet rolls, orange juice plus either pineapple or guava juice and tons of fresh fruti, great to get your day started; coffee however, was a big dissapointment. It was not good at all. I ended up buying my own and using the provided in-room coffee maker. The main reason why we schose this hotel hoever, was the hotel manager, Mrs. Kahealani Doss. She really cares for the guests and is VERY involved in their satisfaction with the hotel and staff. I communicated with her prior to my trip and she was always responsive and answered all the questions we had. She truly shines and makes this hotel even better. We knew any concerns would be handled right away. She is an asset to the Aqua chain! If you want a clean, comfortable room and frienldy staff this is it!

This hotel is a good value for your money, but this is not a fancy location by any stretch of the imagination. This hotel is located on a very busy street on the western edge of Waikiki Beach area. Entering the hotel is difficult, as the parking garage is right off the street (you must page the hotel receptionist to let you in, as there is a gate across the entrance). The rooms are on the old side but are clean and well kept. There is free Internet service and the pool is nice. The breakfast is OK but nothing to write home about. But the best thing going is that it is one block away from the very expensive Hilton Hawaiian Village (basically across the street) and is a short walk to the beach. So you can have the benefits of the Hilton on a budget. Since the beaches are free to everybody, you can stay here and go to the beach without blowing your budget. Stay here if you don't mind a few things that aren't perfect, but overall you'll like the location and price.

The hotel was secure, staff was very friendly, on check-in we must have looked very thirsty because the staff gave us each a bottle of cold water, much needed. Rooms where clean, did have an ant problem but cleaning staff reported this to maintenance who dealth with the little critters quickly. Beds are very comfortable, rooms are not fancy, but we did not go to Hawaii to spend a lot of time in the hotel. Hotel is walking distance to the beach, shopping and many restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay at the Aqua on a return trip.

We were looking for a clean, nice but not luxurious, hotel with a view for one or two nights before and after a cruise. This was perfect! It was convenient for sightseeing, shopping, the beach, and good restaurants; our room was clean and comfortable and had a very nice balcony view of the beach and Diamond Head. Staff was very helpful to us in storing our baggage before or after check in/out and making sure we had timely transportation to and from the cruise ship. We couldn't have been happier, and will definitely stay here again if we ever get back to Honolulu!

I had stayed there once before, this time we had three rooms for a family event. Rooms are relatively small, but excellent location, very clean, placed all three rooms together. The staff could not have neen better. We had a late flight, so they stored our luggage until our cab pickup. All of us were very happy with it. The pool is small and the breakfast is adequate, but all is friendly, plus you are right on the bus line. A great value for Hawaii, and I have been there every year for 25 years.
