The hotel was clean and you felft safe there We arrived in Honolulu at 11:30 pm . We picked up our rental car and were sent off with no directions. Headed into the city and we were lost. Told a Honlulu police officer we were lostand ased him how to get to the Aqua Palms hotel he blurted out he did not now and drove off. We called the hotel and the young man at the desk very patiently guided us over the phone how to get there . All of a sudden he said are you in gold stop you are here. A smiling face of that young man made a good night.A great asset for for that hotel.

  • Honoluu bargain

Aqua Palms is an older smaller hotel surrounded by huge more expensive hotels. It is close to Waikiki beach and walking distance to Ala Moana Mall. Rooms are not fancy but they are comfortable and clean. Views are limited by the other huge hotels in the vicinity. My room was fairly quiet. I will definitely stay there on my next visit as the price is much more reasonable than most hotels in the Waikiki area.

  • This hotel was an ok experience

My husband n I stay at quite a few hotels, usually the employees are a good source to find out about good places to eat. However on this occasion the employees there recommended a horrible restaurant in the corner, by far the worst food weve had. Back to the hotel. We arrived a night early and the hotel did not want to negotiate a better deal for one night, when they finally gave us our room the tub was dirty and we had to multiple times for housekeeping to come, they never came instead a security guard came to check if it was dirty. Housekeeping came until the next morning. Needless to say that was something that made us upset. After the first day our experience wasent half bad. Though they were not very informational they were nice.

  • This hotel is a very good choice if you don't mind being off the beach.

The Aqua Palms is a well-run, well-kept condo-tel located at the beginning of Waikiki just across the street from one of Waikiki's major resort hotels. The rooms are small to average but well furnished and comfortable. The bathrooms are good sized. Many of the rooms have a small but usable lanai. Most, if not all rooms, have a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. You'll find a small pool and a small exercise room which work for the hotel's size. The rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. Floors and rugs are updated and walls appear to be painted on a regular basis which indicate Aqua management has a serious commitment to maintaining a high quality property. For those looking for a luxury or mock-luxury hotel, this is not the answer. And that's good. The Aqua Palms is a good mid-level place to stay. Its location, away from the center of Waikiki, is a plus. The area is quieter with less hustle and bustle. There are fewer restaurants around but good eating is a reasonable walk away. The hotel fronts onto Ala Moana Blvd. and The Bus runs right in from of the hotel. It is closer to Ala Moana Center (shopping center) and the solid Ala Moana Beach Park than most other Waikiki Hotels. The Hilton Beach is about a 5 minute walk. A couple of issues. I find the beds are too soft. And there is a $20.00/day fee for hotel parking. That's outrageous and should be reduced. What makes theAqua Palms special is the hospitality, quality, and value. Aqua has put together a friendly, capable, and very responsive staff. It is a comfortable place witha comfortable feeling.
