From day one of our arrival our stay at the Aqua Palms and Spa was wonderful. We arrived early and when we arrived we checked in, getting the paper work out of the way, and then a kind member of the staff put our suitcases away for us and we changed into our shorts and headed out to see the sights. This hotel is located right across from the Hilton, we walked through this beautiful hotel to the BEST BEACH, not crowded and lots of space to spread out! This hotel is Very Clean, the elevators work great, and all the staff are aloha friendly and very helpful, The bus stop to head to Wakiki is front of the Hilton and the return bus is right in front of the hotel, Take the bus 8 to Ala Moana shopping, the 42 to the Swap Meet on Wed, go there before you any souviners, we were there for 2 weeks so we purchased the month pass at the 7-11 ( out front door, go to coffee shop turn right and follow that street) it cost $40 but we got our moneys worth in 3 days, with going back and forth to Wakiki. you can walk but after a long day of suntanning its nice to take the short bus back to the hotel, just ask at the desk for a sheet of bus routes, Costco bus 42, Safeway bus 13, ( one by the Zoo is Brand New (liquor) and the one on Bertania, towards downtown, On Wednesdays the Manager hosts a get together on the pool deck, and they serve a wonderful drink called the Sway. This hotel is wonderful and I would highly recommend it, I miss being there already, excellent customer service, We will return for sure.

The hotel was really ok for what it was. Continental breakfast left more to be desired...I went to seaside cafe for their $2.99 breakfast special few of the days in lieu of hotels breakfast. The most of staff seem knowledgeable and friendly but there are one or two absolute morons behind the counters there. Their lowest priced room is very very small and absolutely worthless.... If I was the hotel owner, I would not even rent it out to customers....I'd be totally embarrassed, it is literally a cubby hole and you cannot move around. If I would have known what I know now, I never would have booked it. But their other rooms are spacier and suffice....Their TV is located near ceiling and it makes for very uncomfortable TV Watching. Be forewarned, do not even bother book their cheapest room as you will be miserable and end up paying more for upgraded room! I know its very tempting but....

Our stay was business/ college search so we went for an economy facility and we were expecting that after over 15 trips to Hawaii we have seen it all. But something has happened here. The rooms have been remodeled, clean and really better than many I have paid much more for. I mean the bathrooms have modern counters, new refridgerator/microwave/furniture and other interior conforts. Felt like an expensive hotel. The beds were adaqate but these are hotel beds. The staff was pleasant, but don't try and check in before 3:00. No "island smells" of mold, mosture. I can only speak of our 3rd floor room. Don't look for dramatic views, closeness to the center of Wakiki; or the greatest contenintal breakfast: muffins, fruit, coffee and packaged no-dairy creamer. Pineapple juice was a nice touch. Kind of hard to find but that's good for I feel the bad guys can't find it either. Also good security. Street noise didn't seem to prenetrate or bother sleeping. We are used to walking to surf at downtown spots and this was an issue since we had to take our car every time to find another spot to park which was a hassel but an island tip: use the Zoo parking meters, only .25 cents an hour. That will buy you ten minutes in Laguna Beach or the buses which you can buy a 4 day buss pass that will get you everywhere. Hotel charges $18.00 a day to park and they give you a security key to enter parking are which is tight, becareful of your rent a cars. No complaints for the price and we were surprised !!!!!!!!!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great close to Waikiki and shops. Pool was small but who needs a pool when Waikiki is so close. I rated bed comfort at good because the friends we stayed with said their bed was really hard, but ours was perfect.
Overall great stay, would definitely stay again. -
Great place for the money

This was our first trip to Hawaii for our 10 yr anniversary & we stayed at the Aqua Palms Hotel and had a great time... room was great with balcony. But, be careful of peeping toms from other hotels who face the hotel. Keep blinds closed while changing and you will be fine. Free breakfast is cool, but they serve the same thing everyday so that gets old after a few days, but it's free so nothing really to complain about. Coffee machine in lobby is great!! We will be back... loved it for being on a budget!
