Aqua Plams Waikiki is not very fancy or luxury but a good value for it's price. The room is big enough and kept clean. The housekeeping staff and the front desk is very friendly. I enjoyed my 1 week stay there.

The first thing that greats you when you walk into the hotel is a musty smell that is in the hallways also. The room thankfully did not have that smell but everything about the hotel is old and worn and dingy. The bedsheets were clean but the bottom sheet was stained and i mean the whole thing had a yellowish tint to it. The furniture is old and has seen better days and even the floors sag. It's clean given how shabby the hotel is but even with being clean you still feel dirty staying here. I have stayed at two star places that were much nicer.

I booked my trip very late and missed out on many of the top beach resorts. This led me to look at lesser tiered hotels. After doing a little research I settled on the Aqua Palms. My biggest concern going in, was the hotel going to be nice enough and was it going to be located close enough to the beach that we didn't have to walk far or take a cab. All my concerns were wiped away! Aqua Palms is located across the street from the Hilton. A nice walk through there resort and your on the beach, not too bad. Plus you can always cozy up at their pool or outdoor bars. Aqua Palms was clean and friendly throughout. A short walk to the mall, area stores/bars/restaurants. Also you can walk down to the main strip in only a few minutes. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised and completely happy with the Aqua Palms!

Very pleased with this hotel choice. Short walk to the beach, about 2 blocks. Very clean. Called ahead of our stay and was given helpful and cost saving tips on transportation to and from airport. Also was able to book some shore excursions for our cruise at a saving over the cost cruise line was offering. Free coffee in rooms and lobby a plus. Managers reception on Thurs evening also nice. No negatives at all for us.
