Wound up here because the hotel that my convention was held at refused to honor their published rate. I wound up beating their rate, only a block or so away. A nice little hotel, overall, in a converted brick building within a quick walk of Canal St.

We arrived early and the room was clean and ready. The staff let us check in early and were very friendly. As in most cases the motel is in an old warehouse building and I really liked the atmosphere. The biggest plus is that we were able to walk to almost every place we wanted to go including the French Quarter. I would stay here again!

stayed here for a meeting - its a bit far to walk to the Convention Center (a little more than a mile I'd say), so if going to the Convention Center hopefully you will have proveded bus shuttles or be prepared to take a cab. An easy walk downtown to the French Quarter or the the streetcars uptown. The staff ALWAYS greeted me as I came in the door and were helpful and friendly. The room was fine - you don't stay in your hotel room in NOLA - but all was clean and the bed was comfy. there was an exercise room that I did not use down the hall - but there were usually people there working out. The morning breakfast was nice - a fruit bowl, juice and milk, cereal, a waffle maker, bagels and pastries, and some combination of eggs and sausage prepared in the back and brought out to the breakfast area. Noise as to be expected outside occasionally, but bc well away from the French quarter, was pretty darn quiet. No complaints at all - would stay again.

We appreciated the way in which the hotel was renovated. Many original walls were kept so you had exposed beams and beautiful brick walls. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. The location, just outside the French Quarter was perfect for us. We walked to most destinations. The Concierge was delightful. She gave us recommendations that were superb. The only thing that could have been improved was the breakfast. Better quality products would boost my rating. Also the breakfast area could be enlarged. We would stay at the hotel again.
