Typically I try and stay closer to the Civic Center when I am in San Francisco, but for the money the Inn on Broadway suited me fine. My room was clean and tidy, and the location was out of the way enough that it felt like I was in a residential area of tow, though I was within easy walking distance of Japan Town, the Civic center, and other places I wanted to visit. Overall, a modest place to stay, but very convenient and friendly.

Large room, balcony for us smokers, parking, very close quarters but they had it, and at no additional charge. Refrigerator, coffeemaker, all the comforts of home. Room was clean, no noise, close to bus lines. Walking distance of restaurants and a CVS. All in all I give it an excellent rating. I plan on returning to San Francisco, and I'm staying at the Broadway Inn!!

The room was large, but sparsely furnished - the TV was so far away from the bed that you couldn't hear it, and they had some sort of volumne lock on it. The location was inconvenient, and the parking was a joke - had to wait while they jockeyed cars around to leave. Will not go again.

My Husband and I came here for 6 day visit..He is a native of San Francisco so new city very well.. The hotel is in great location..Walking distance to Lombard street , Fisherman's wharf..If plan to walk wear good shoes..LOTS of hills.. plenty of public transportation..parking tight but free..the office staff was very friendly and helpful. Our tv remote stopped working one night so went to office they gave us new remote. We actually got luck and got room with a view.. able to see street. Room size was fine, nice having fridge and microwave in room. The only issue was the shower was made for short person had to bend down bit to get under the shower head..The water pressure was GREAT! Our tub, however, had a crack in floor that was covered by mat. There is a little diner on the hotel that served breakfast and lunch. EXCELLENT breakfast.. very clean and nice friendly service.. will for sure stay here again next time in San Francisco.
