The hotel was very nice. Room was a good size & comfortable. Everything worked fine. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly, nice & ready to assist. I was disappointed with the food, however. I've been to many all-inclusive resorts all over Mexico and have always liked the buffets. The only buffet I really enjoyed consistently at GR Solaris was the breakfast buffet. The first two days we were there, I found it hard to find much that I wanted to try at the lunch & dinner buffets. The food was unappetizing & looked like it had been sitting out for hours. After that we figured we had to get to the buffet as soon as the meal started to be sure it was fresh but even then, it wasn't very tasty. Because of that we made reservations at Marco Polo, the "fancy" restaurant. We ate there twice. Everything was good ,but not great. We ate in town a few times and had wonderful meals. We went back to the buffets the last 2 days of our stays & things were a little better. The buffet "theme" changed every day. I am not a fussy eater & I like to try new things but the buffets at the GR Solaris were my least favorite out of any all-inclusive resort I have stayed at. Other than that, I thought it was a very nice resort. 3 pools. 3 bars. A nightly show. Gym. Spa/salon. Etc. It is located at the end of the hotel zone closer to the airport so we took a lot of buses. The bus stop was right outside the hotel. Cost .70 cents and they ran every few minutes. Very convenient. We walked the main boulevard a lot & felt very safe. Oh, one thing I hated was their policy with room towels. They have a card in the bathroom that says they will assume you want to reuse the towel if it is hanging on the hook. If you want new towels, leave them on the bed. I don't mind using a bath towel so I did leave them on the bathroom hook. When we returned to the room, we always had "new" towels neatly folded and put on the shelf. It took a couple of times to realize that the maid was actually folding our used, wet towels & putting those on the shelf so when we went to use a "new" towel it would be all damp since it couldn't dry being folded again. If the towel just remained on the hook, it would have dried and would have been fine to reuse. One time, I wanted new towels. I didn't want to put the used, wet ones on the bed so I put them on the floor next to the bed. The maid refolded those wet towels & put them back in the bathroom.

EVERYTHING was GREAT!!
03/14/2013This place has great staff that are very friendly! the guests were great, rooms clean, and the staff are on top of everything not missing a beat! highly recommend!!!!!

We had a very good time , excerpt the wifi is not free ... Is either $10/ hour or $15/ day. I think it should be free at least in the lobby area. Food was good and fresh not very diverse , drinks a little weak in special at the beach area , you always have to ask for extra alcohol.. Hotel and rooms were very clean, the beach was nice and clean enough chairs for everybody. Staff was nice except for few ladies at the front desk. But like everywhere you go nothing is perfect... Overall we enjoyed it and had a very good time !!!

People at the front desk are greetat when you check in but could care less about you when you check out and not at all helpfull. I had a problem with car service that had been cancelled and they had confirmed when I checked in that it had been cancelled yet when I checked out they still charged me and acted like they had no idea even when I showed them in an e-mail

I had an amazing time here. The staff was very nice and accomadating. I felt so welcomed and comfortable, it was like a home away from home. The only thing that I did not like was the $15.00 dollar a day charge for WiFi.
