I have been goin to Mexico every year since 1994 and have never stayed at the same resort. I always stay at an all-inclusive resort. After staying at Temptation resort I will not stay at another all adult resort. Although the amenities are not top notch like others I have stayed at it is sure to provide a good time. I enjoyed all the adult games food was good and the staff was a load of fun. Other guests that were there were very friendly and alot of fun to hang out with. You can either stay at the quiet pool for peace and quiet or jump in with the party. There is not any pressure to participate in any of the activities but it sure does make it fun!

The one main problem we had was when we showed up the first night, the front desk told us that they were all booked up and that they did not have any more rooms with double beds. Well there was three of us and they told us that there was one room left with a king size bed or that we could go to their sister resort that was not an all adults resort. We decided on the king size bed and luckly we all fit in the bed because they don't have roll aways or anything else. The next day we asked for the manager and spoke with him and he couldn't have cared less if we would have had a place to sleep or not. He told us that they overbook the resort all the time and that when it is full they send the people to their other hotel. He couldn't guarantee how many beds you have in the room either, you can only make a request. He wouldn't give us any compensation for our trouble. He thought it was fine that you pay for one resort and have to go to another or that you don't get the right amount of beds. For this I will never go back to the resort because they can't guarantee you a room or a room with the right beds. We did talk to several people that had it even worse then us and had to go to the other resort and the hotel didn't even pay for their transportation for going back and forth between hotels. I just don't think they know how to run a hotel. I will say that the staff (besides the manager) and guests were great.

Rooms were cleaned and stocked daily, and looked nicer than anything I've ever seen back home in a hotel. AC worked great. Gained 5 pounds at the fantastic buffets, one of which is almost always open at any hour. Beach was a dream, beds and servers with drinks everywhere. Pools were fun, especially Diego's swim up bar on the beach. Put a towel on the patio chairs by 0800 or you won't get a seat and it's not nearly as much fun without a chair by the pool. The jacuzzi's are cold, they are NOT heated. Buses on the strip are very frequent and cheap. Avoid the taxis. Day trips can be booked for a reasonable rate right from the hotel lobby. Don't buy stuff at places like Chichen Itza or Isla Mujeres, the same stuff is cheaper everywhere else. I left my safe open by accident in the hotel room one day and there was over $300 in it and there was over $300 in it when I got back. Staff are awesome. Seems to rain for about 5 mins every day after lunch, perfect for a siesta after a massive lunch. Book your reservations for the restaurants every morning, you won't be sorry!!! I recommend Il Piacere. Italian, service was awesome and fast and tasty! (The food, I mean) :-) If you come here as a couple or with friends, you'll have a great time.

Overall, my fiancee and I enjoyed our stay, but we had the benefit of being gold members. That meant that we got preferential treatment from the members staff. That was really nice, but this review is for everyone, not just members. We only spent a couple of hours out of our week there at the "sexy" pool, and instead spent the majority of our time in the beach area (which was pretty small, but still a nice beach). The beds were VERY firm, and our backs were sore by the end of our week. Dining options were adequate... the fancier restaurants were pretty decent (the Italian was the best in my opinion), and the buffet was a typical buffet. The wine (I believe the brand was Carmel), was awful, so we got our wine from across the street instead. The mixed drinks were hit or miss, so when we found good bartenders, we stuck with them for the duration of our stay. We did have a good time here, but if we did not get the members rate, I am doubtful that we would go back. From what I could see, there are quite a few nice places to stay in the Cancun area. We are much more into backpacking around in third world countries, so this place was a change of pace for me. If you want to experience culture and off the beaten path travel, then Cancun is not the place to go. But, if relaxation and pampering are in need, then Cancun is an easy place to unwind... either at Temptations or at another resort in the Hotel Zone.
