When my friends and I arrived two hours before check in we were rudely told our rooms wouldn't be reay for another 2 hours! Come check in time one room was "ready" and the other one would be in thirty more minutes! When we went to the first room the jacuzzi was filthy and had someone else hair still in it! When the second room was "ready" that was supposed to be right next door we found it on the opposite side of the resort! The furniture was disorderly and pushed up against the bed! When we ran water in the second jacuzzi I was GREEN! Our rooms were located next to the quiet pool an that was very nice! The food was great! And when they ask to give you a tour of the resort the next day say NO they try to sell you a time share and waste 3 hours of your time!

First of all let me say that I am not well travelled, or that I have stayed in any other resort. What I can say is that I booked this vacation for my husband and I to get away and rekindle the fire of our relationship. The resort was beautiful and the staff was so warm and inviting. The rooms were large, but the satellite reception was not good, and the tile floors were slippery. Out of five restaurants we ate at three (I have a gluten problem), and the best was the buffet at La Embarcaderos. From freshly made belgium waffles to the homemade guacamole this was the best! The only real con was the beach. The ocean floor was covered with seaweed making venturing out too far unconfortable.

Overall we found this property to be a good value, in a good location. The pool and entertainment staff was awesome...defineatly check out their shows...short but entertaining. Rooms were average, although we did have problems with the shower(getting the hot water to work). Bed was very comfortable and housekeeping was deligent. Bartenders were very accomodating although they did lack an abundance of choices. We did notice that a large portion of the property was reserved for members, these areas went largely unused. (including the fact that the only hot tub on the resort was in the members only area) The more upscale liqours and the cigar bar were, likewise, reserved for "members only". The food was all delicious and available in abundance. Small upcharges for the finer dishes unless, of course, you are a member. Strongly recommend you switch to pesos, your money will go farther, do your research before going, as the concierge knows plenty about selling a membership, but not so good with directions.
