    The Hotel is above & below a high-rise office building, so the lobby is on the 25th floor & the Concierge & car pick-ups are on the first floor. Rooms are above & below the lobby. Once you figure out how to take 2 elevators up & down, it's a bit less confusing. Room (a double) was quite roomy, & bathroom was huge, w/ separate tub & separate glassed-in shower. Large sink counter-top. The towels were longer than me! Wonderfully comfortable beds. Newspaper at door in A.M. In-room dining was very nice, served by friendly waiter w/ a fresh flower on the table & a heating box below to keep entree warm while eating your salad/appetizer. As with every other hotel room, the lighting could be brighter. One particular young lady at the Concierge desk was won- derful - so helpful. A chosen tour picked me up at the Hotel. Valet parking is $45 a day but what was nice was that you could park your own car in their lot for $25 for 24 hours. If you don't take car in & out each day this is the way to go. If you do take car out, you're re-ticketed each time & it would cost less to valet. (All parking is plus taxes). Hotel is in Financial District & there are some restaurants down there, but not much else to do. It overlooks the bay, which is beautiful.

    Stayed in mid January, 2010. I see the complaints about the staff, and our experience was quite the opposite. Outstanding service and accommodating us seemed their first priority. Everyone we crossed paths with met us with smiles and greetings. The room was in excellent condition, sliding glass door to the small balcony overlooking the bay and south. Parking is an issue, but only because it's expensive. It is actually a very easy walk to several very nice restaurants and there are places within only a few minutes' hike that are on the water. I booked by phone and got the same rate as advertised on line. The clerk asked if there was a special occasion and I mentioned there was a birthday in our party. She asked if there were any special requests and I told them it'd be nice if we could get a bottle of our favorite wine in the room for us. I got transferred to the Concierge (Richard) who put me on hold while he called Guest Services to see if the restaurant had that particular wine. He answered that sadly they did not have exactly what we wanted. I asked him to tell me what they did have so I could choose and he told me that the Guest Services fellow would GO SHOPPING to find it. It was there when we arrived, along with a complimentary Champagne. How do you beat that?

    I paid for the room on travel website and the hotel billed my debit card anyway. I had to call to fix the problem but by that time I had NSF fees from my bank for being overdrawn. They took care of it but I got billed AGAIN 3 weeks later...and AGAIN, it created NSF fees from my bank. They apologized again but blamed travel website for the mistake. I asked them if they are going to reimburse me for the NSF charges and offer me a complimentary room for my trouble. They said no!

    Very nice hotel for businesses needs. Nice rooms. Do not book room directly with the hotel. After my business meetings I wanted to stay an additional night. I went to the front desk to arrange this and the price increase was enormous. If you book through online travel the room rate is much much cheaper than booking direclty with the hotel. Not a lot to do around the area, but South Beach is only 15 minutes away. It is hard to get a spot to lay out at the pool. Seating is very limited. Would stay there again for business purposes only.
