Me and my husbad stayed here for our honeymoon, we were welcomed by the staff at the front desk and the valets. One thing they did not tell you about, and that I did not find on the hotel website easily, is that you have to pay $28 a night for parking. I was quite disappointed with this due to the price I was paying to stay at the hotel to begin with. The room was very nice with a nice ocean view and the bed was super comfy. Other then paying extra for parking I would recommend this hotel to others.

The location and view were great. The shower was noted to have been a little dirty with mold in the grout lines. Also a mandatory valet service with a fee of 28 dollars a day was not noted and found out at time of check-in. We had the rental car and were worried about having someone else drive and keep the keys while we were there and also was very expensive!!!

I had booked this hotel as part of a package for a last minute late summer getaway. What a pleasant surprise! Everything in the hotel was first class--beautiful decor, large room with a full kitchen (and with a real ice maker in the fridge!), friendly staff, and easy access to the beach across the street. I also like the location--a little farther up the boulevard from the noisy "strip", but still easy access to all activities. And every room seems to have a full ocean view. The spa was pretty, but they were running a special and seemed to be having some problems--no lockers available, manicurist was very rough and seemed rushed--but these were minor problems. All in all, the Atlantic might not be as well known as some of the bigger chain hotels, but it is an absolute gem for a luxurious retreat.

This hotel is highly over-rated! We would NEVER recommend it to anyone.

Our family of four adults booked a room at the Atlantic Hotel for four days in early January, 2012, so that we could attend the Orange Bowl. We selected this hotel because (even though it was a bit of a splurge for us) we wanted to treat ourselves to the comfort of a (so-called) luxury hotel. From the moment we walked into the gloomy, dark lobby and were greeted shabbily by the front desk staff, we were extremely disappointed and even disgusted. The front desk staff "spoke down" to us and even though they have a "four o'clock check-in guarantee" we did not get into our room until well after that time, and even then, only because we stood in the lobby and stared at the front desk staff. We had already waited at the "pool-side restaurant", which was really nothing more than a bar, for almost three hours! And not only that, our smart phones would not even work at the pool-side bar, which was extremely maddening. The experience was all down hill from there, and, by the way, there was no compensation for not meeting the four o'clock check-in guarantee. Once in the room, we got the total run-around when we tried to get a code for the free WI-FI. We called the front desk several times and every time they just said, "Oh, I'm sorry, try this now." Even after a room visit from the "technology engineer,"(who said he couldn't understand why they had given us any of the codes they did when we spoke to them on the phone - made us wonder if they were having a laugh at our expense) we were still only able to use the Internet on one computer. We all had I-Pads that we wanted to use. This is just a sampling of the treatment that we endured while there. Save your money and spend it at a hotel where they actually appreciate your business. Also, we tried to write a review on the Atlantic Hotel website and although it said, "Click here to write a review," there was no link to do so. Surprisingly, ALL of the reviews on their website were absolutely glowing. This is the first hotel review we have ever written - it was that bad!
