I just wanted to emphasize how much we enjoyed our stay at the resort (Sandals Montego Bay). We celebrated our Honeymoon there a few short weeks ago (June 11-19), and couldn't have asked for a better vacation. The food was excellent (especially at Cucina Romana and Stewfish). The staff was incredible, especially the guys involved with the scuba diving (which we did three times during our stay), and our favorite playmaker Salisa, who went above and beyond to always make sure we were having an awesome time. The facility was extremely well kept, and the shows and activities were always entertaining. My only complaint was the service at the Cricketer's Pint. The gentleman working the bar every night we were in did a great job, and was very personable. However, the female server (whose name we do not know) and the manager (Scott) were terrible. Our experiences were terrible with this restaurant every time we went in, and would not have returned if there were other options for late night snacking. Overall though, our Sandals experience far surpassed that at any other facility we've stayed at, and we cannot wait to return.

At best, this is a 3 star resort, with 5 star pricing. The hotel is very dated, with some maintinence issues. The pictures, description, and even the other reviews here are very misleading. (I never saw on here anywhere that there is an airport runway just outside the hotel. You WILL be seeing and hearing jets take off constantly, just outside your door) The food there was not so great.....Shopping was chaotic & scary. The one saving grace for this hotel was that the staff there was very nice & accomodating. Save your money & do yourself a favor. Go to Playa Del Carmen instead....we will. (Also....everyone we talked to there said the same things we did)

Sandals Montego Bay exceeded all of our expectations. Everything about the resorts was great (the food, beach, pools, bars, staff, rooms, etc.). There is so much to do at the resort so make sure you take advantage of everything they have to offer (water sports, evening events, beach games, etc.). Make sure you make your dinner reservations at all the resturants when you first get to the resort. My wife and I enjoyed every place we ate (especially the Japanesse Resturant). Also take advantage of the other local Sandals resorts right there in Montego Bay (Royal Carribean). You can take a shuttle bus over to eat at the resturants there (make sure you go to the Royal Tai Resturant - it was great). Another note - if you plan on buying Jamaican Rum to take home with you, buy it at the airport on the way home and take it in your carry-on. It is way cheaper and they package it up for you to be taken on the flight legally.

This was the best vacation my wife and I ever had. The resort was absolutely perfect! The grounds were well maintained, the staff was extremely professional, helpful, welcoming but not instrusive. The only negative would have to be the noise from the airplanes taking off, however, that quickly faded as we emersed ourselves in the plush resort.

The hotel is older and the rooms are in need of repair. The air conditioning didn't work very well, the wall paper and paint were chipped and worn and the bed was comfortable, but needed a new mattress. The staff was wonderful and the food was good. This resort was less than expected and we were a bit disappointed.
