The Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago is in the perfect spot to allow you to walk to Millenium Park, the Magnificent Mile, the Chicago Art Institute, and a great deep dish pizza place, Giordanos, what more could you want? The rooms are a bit on the small side so if you need a cot be sure to let them know so they can give you a room large enough to accomodate one. The rooms are a bit dark but it's very rock and roll not tomb of the undead. The front desk was very helpful, extra towels, tissues or whatever we needed were brought in a flash and the concierge was more than willing to help with everything. If you arrive early they will hold your bags so you can go sightseeing and if you'd like dinner reservations or tickets to a show they're there for you. There is a great noodle place just down the block from the hotel for a quick lunch, you must go to Giordano's of course for some great pizza, there is no breakfast included in your stay but there is a Corner Bakery up two blocks from here for anything from a muffin to french toast. Also, those with kids, there is no pool on the property so, I'd look elsewhere, leave this for the big kids.

This is the 2nd review I have written about this hotel. I was so dissapointed as was my friend who booked this trip. It started when I e mailed the property 2 weeks before our arrival and never got a response. The bell desk was helpful however J at the front desk was another story. After greeting my friend and confirming we wanted a smoking room no upgrade necessary we were promptly taken to a non-smoking floor and a handicapped room my friend is a healthy young man and I am not handicapped either. After getting our room changed both us us were not happy with the room size. The bed was great and comfy. The muted tones were nice and tipping the maid $10 a day guarantees you extra towels and amenities. Room service was quick and beer was always on ice. Complimentry WI Fi was great. Hotel bar staff was friendly. China grill was ok slightly overpriced. I know the following is in capital letters. IF YOU ARE A CHICAGO SPORTS FAN DO NOT STAY HERE THEY DO NOT CARRY THE GAMES . GO CUBS. Overall a person expects more from the famed Hard Rock. We are spoiled by the Las Vegas property. Location was great. I recommend the Amalfi for a future stay.

We found the room very comfortable and the hotel was conveniently located on Michigan. Beds were very comfortable and I wish I could have brought them home with me. Bus service came right by the hotel and the cta was just a few blocks away making it convenient to get around. Milinium Park is about two blocks away, Navy Pier, Art Institute, and many other attractions are in walking distance. Chicago is my kind of a town! The one drawback with the hotel room is that you definitely need to have windows, they may need to address lighting issues.
