We arrived to Chicago late, went to dinner came back at midnight and unpacked. Realized after laying in bed the elevator was right next to us. Horrible loud buzzing and clunking ALL NIGHT LONG. Was too tired to pack back up and switch rooms. Complained in the morning and was told the only thing that could have been done was to switch rooms at 1:00am. Really? Nothing else to make up for this? Have 6 kids, was trying to have a peaceful get away ended up with 2 hours sleep instead.

From the start the staff was great. They made you feel welcome. The concierge was very helpful especially Michelle. Rooms were clean but very plain. The shower always caused a flood on the bathroom floor. The only chair in the room was very uncomfortable.

First, the good - the entire staff was extremely pleasant to deal with, and very helpful. The concierge gave great recommendations for around-the-town travel, places to eat and bars to check out. The location of the hotel was good, too, as was the price. The only complaint was that the actual hotel room was somewhat lacking, especially the bathroom. The lack of an exhaust fan meant that 2 minutes into your shower, the room was full of steam for at least a half hour. Plus, the shower was setup in such a way that you could only turn it on when already standing in it. And the bed was lumpy.

hotel is a bit old and needs updating. carpets are worn out and rooms are quite small. Only stay here if you can get a good deal, otherwise there are other hotels to stay at. One plus is that there is free wi-fi in the lobby.
